Republicans, Do You Not See The Hypocrisy In Your Disdain For Paying Taxes?

They all want to live in the best country in the world but none of them want to pay for it.

I do want to live in the best country in the world. I also want my government to use the money that I give them...money that I worked hard to make...in a way that makes the US a better place to live in. I simply want them to treat my money like it has value, Mr. Clean and not like I'm some faceless ATM that they can keep tapping for more spending cash!

My point, Billy is that the government already GETS plenty of funding! They get huge amounts of money pouring in...the problem is how much of that money they waste.

Yep, the gov needs plenty of funding. Didn't you know that?

How much of what those taxes pay for are the RWs willing to give up? Truth is, they want others to pay taxes for them while they reap the benefits.

And, @TooTall - where' the link to source of that list?

It's not disdain for paying taxes, it's tax money being wasted, big difference.

You bet. Those clowns in DC spend our tax dollars like they grow on a tree and that tree will always be there.

Taxes are something that have to be payed to keep the country running whether its State, local or Fed.

Unfortuanately we have loads of folks in this country who pay for nothing. They expect someone else to bankroll their lives for em.

I sure hate my hardearned tax dollars going to these freeloaders.

You are constantly complaining about the moocher culture in this country yet you expect the government to pay for everything for you by not wanting to pay taxes. For one thing, it is a very small minority of people who abuse government assistance like food stamps. Food stamps, by and large, feed starving families. The actual facts and statistics on food stamps, that you refuse to acknowledge, reflect that. On the other hand, there are 10s of million mooching tea baggers who would prefer not to pay taxes.

Paying taxes is part of being a citizen of this country. You can't bitch and whine about the national debt AND paying taxes. How you don't see how those issues are connected just blows my mind. You want a bitching military? Pay your taxes. You want your kids to go to public school? Pay your taxes. You want this country to have strong infrastructure? Pay your fucking taxes you mooch.

Yeah, yeah the poor don't pay taxes derp, derp, derp. There's an easy solution for that. Raise the goddamn minimum wage so it can at least be kept up with the current level of fucking inflation. Then we can all pay taxes!

We have disdain in paying taxes?????

You want to see how liberals feel about it?

Democrats are hypocrites when it comes to paying taxes

As one leading Democrat put it: "Make no mistake, tax cheaters cheat us all, and the IRS should enforce our laws to the letter."

That Democrat was then-Sen. Tom Daschle in 1998. The same Tom Daschle, we've since learned, who failed to pay more than $100,000 in back taxes for perks he received as one of Washington's most relentless influence-peddlers -- that is, until he realized he might receive a job in the Obama administration spending the money most Americans conscientiously send to Washington.

Daschle's hardly alone. The recently confirmed Treasury secretary, Timothy F. Geithner, also failed to pay taxes he owed (even though he surely must have known he owed them) until it became politically expedient to pay them. Now he runs the IRS. Take that, suckers.

Meanwhile, Rep. Charles B. Rangel (D-N.Y.), the chairman of the supreme tax-writing body in the United States, the House Ways and Means Committee, is under investigation for, among other things, dodging taxes. His excuse for his admitted mistakes is that he was sloppy and ignorant, but not criminal. Geithner and Daschle make similar noises.

Most of the people I know have no problem paying taxes. What we have an issue with is paying for taxes to cover programs that are not legal, moral, or Constitutional. Programs that have no legitimate legal mandate in the founding documents of the city/town, country, state, or federal governments.

We see our monies being wasted on welfare, foreign aid, foreign wars, and a slew of domestic programs that have no legitimacy. We see individuals at both ends of the economic spectrum.not carrying their fair share of the weight. We see a tax system so complex and bureaucratic that nobody can understand it or how it is supposed to actually work.

Give us a system that we can understand, which requires everyone to pay their equal share, and where the money is spent only on a budget that is both balanced (NO MORE BORROWING) and whose items are 100% Constitutionally mandated and we will gladly pay our share.

Many items are just different names for the same tax.

For example;

Vehicle Registration Taxes = License Plate Fees = Recreational Vehicle Taxes = Inspection Fees

Local School Taxes = School Taxes = Property Taxes = Real Estate Taxes = Library Taxes

Post like this one are a perfect example of why liberals have such a hard time with economics.

It's why every Progressive economy leads to poverty and failure 100% of the time

And you have links to prove that, right?

You don't "give YOUR money" to the government.

We the People have a government OF the people and FOR the people.

If you want to be part of We the People then you have to pay for the privilege by paying your full share of the tax burden.

Anything less than that is mooching.

As far as "waste" goes you can start by agreeing to eliminate 100% of corporate welfare and 50% of defense spending.

When you agree to those 2 biggies we can discuss the small stuff.

Ok give me some examples of waste. Be very specific.

They all want to live in the best country in the world but none of them want to pay for it.

Defense is one of the things the federal government is actually MANDATED to do.

As for corporate welfare, most of the time you guys are talking about tax breaks, not direct subsidies.

Bwahahahaa! "Nuance" is a liberal way of saying "Do as I say, NOT AS I DO."

You just started an op that's a polemic against conservatives complaining about taxes but now tell us it's "nuance" when a liberal does the same.

You are hilarious, laughably, laughably, hilarious!

If you want to eliminate welfare for the poor, then you need to compromise and support a raise to the minimum wage.
