Republicans Do Not Seek To Eliminate Abortion

Why it is white men setting our abortion policy
.

Since we all know it was Sanger's intention to wipe out the "weeds", right?

Her whole obsession with killing children is just an extension of the fact that she killed her own, after letting it live for something like eight years, if memory serves.

. The Republicans do not want to outlaw all abortion. They want the individual states to decide. Since the Founding Fathers did not mention abortion when theY wrote the US Constitution, that was their intent. Read The 10th amendment

Which is why I don't understand why they are all talking about passing some sort of national, Federal standard - e.g. 15 weeks.

We're winning on the abortion issue. That's all that matters.
Your clown canal is controlled by the state ! Clean it!

Dem run states = try to ban guns.

Rep run states = try to ban abortion.

That's the score...be honest.

There's a few problems with your theory.

Republican lawmakers in several states are trying and have succeeded in doing various things to get abortion outlawed. Up to and including. Putting out bounties for people helping people get abortions. Trying various changes to states constitutions and depressing turnout.
Too when they loose the elections for those issues,
trying to limit the power of the State Supreme court so they can ignore the results of the state issue they put forth. Etc. etc.

Secondly and most importantly. During Roe v Wade people HAD the choice to have or not have an abortion up until a certain point. The only reason to try to change that is BECAUSE you want to ban abortion. Trying to frame it as a constitutional question is BS. Since none of the GOP is at all concerned about the front-runner for the presidency flatly stating he wants to suspend parts of the constitution he finds troublesome.

Please point out the part of the Constitution that mentions abortions ? I can save you time by stating without any doubt that abortion is not mentioned at all in the document. The 10th Amendment applies which means the issue of abortion belongs to the States. Firearms however are specifically mentioned and the right to bear arms shall not be infringed upon.

Nonsense. They're just doing things step by step. First you get the states to decide, then you get enough states to declare it's illegal, then you start working on a federal ban.
