Republican Implosion: Really? This is serious?

No..the downgrade happened because it looked as if the government was willing to default on debts

Ah, the lie repeated by the Democrats and endlessly intoned by the media. How would we have ever defaulted on the debts when we had plenty of revenue to cover them with incoming tax revenue? And clearly we weren't willing to default on them since the downgrade stood when the politicians didn't go through with it. We continued to spend like there's no tomorrow and the downgrade stood. Clearly the tea party wanting to cut spending...which didn't happen...wasn't the problem. Yet you stick with the Harry/Nancy/Obama game plan. It's the tea party. Sad, just sad.

What you have you hate the tea party, so anything that's bad is their fault, even if they're the only ones who were actually addressing deficit spending. You're just a Democratic partisan hack, which is all you ever post. Content, zero. But it serves your politicians pathetic talking points, so you run with it..

Yeah, King obama is doing a great job.

Congressional Budget Office projects trillion dollar deficits through 2017 - David Rogers - POLITICO.com

The government faces a fourth year of trillion-plus deficits in 2012, according to new projections released Tuesday—numbers which also show little relief in the future unless Washington comes to grips with needed changes in its tax and spending policies.

Like Aunt Cassandra coming down from the attic, the Congressional Budget Office steps squarely into the 2012 campaign season with the 147-page report which might have been subtitled “It’s not just the economy stupid, it’s also the debt.”

Latest Congressional Budget Outlook For 2012-2022 Released, Says Real Unemployment Rate Is 10% | ZeroHedge

"Had that portion of the decline in the labor force participation rate since 2007 that is attributable to neither the aging of the baby boomers nor the downturn in the business cycle (on the basis of the experience in previous downturns) not occurred, the unemployment rate in the fourth quarter of 2011 would have been about 1¼ percentage points higher than the actual rate of 8.7 percent" translation: CBO just admitted that the BLS numbers are bogus and real unemployment is 10%. Thank you

I thought it was congress that appropriates money and raises the debt limit. Silly me. Do you blame Obama when your lotto ticket doesn't come up a winner?

Suddenly a Democrat says it's "congress" not the President. Interesting. So do you blame Reagan for the deficits of the 80s? Do you credit Clinton with the surpluses of the 90s? Or was it congress then as well?
