Minority is allowed their opinionThe referendums are legal and republicans did not act in good faithRepublicans once again show their contempt for the will of the people.
First to block the voters right to decide minimum wage, secondly by withdrawing their wage increase once the election was over and thirdly by preventing a popularly elected governor from enforcing the law
I support this measure 100%. It’s not dirty politics, it’s politics. Those referendums are vehicles of mob rule. Republicans have done a great job by protecting freedom in this case.
They have squashed freedom in Michigan
So protecting the minority opinion is squashing freedom now? So what if they are legal? They shouldn’t be. By stating the obvious - that they are legal, you’re implying the republicans did something illegal, which both of us know they didn’t. The fact is republicans played by the rules and won. You’re going to have to suck it up and try to find another way to outdule them if you want your shitty legislation passed.
They are not allowed to force it on the majority through legislative slight of hand
Here is your minimum wage increase, now drop the referendum
Ooops..... there goes your minimum wage increase
Then voters have the option to vote those representatives out next election. Isn't that how it's supposed to work?
Exactimundo!
