Democrats haven't won there since 1995, it's not a surprise.

In 2016 Chaffetz got 73.46%, so 59% is piss poor. 2006 was the last time this district got in the 50%s.

The only surprise was that Trump got 47% when every other Republican Presidential candidate has got 67% or more. That's 20% LESS than the lowest before.

Trump pulls in more than 50% popularity in Utah these days, so part of that above is incorrect.

Curtis should have done better, being a well like May of Provo in competition with a little know Democratic women physician.

And? The republicans already have the house by large enough margins that are cooperative enough that they can pretty much pass anything they want. The senate is where they need more weight or cooperation.
