Replace the ACA with single payer

Why not? Seriously, Canada, Uk, Germany, France, and on down the list have it. It is a proven system and it works. I seriously believe that our healthcare system shouldn't be about jacking up the price just because you're sick. That is wrong.

If you like their system so much, feel free to pack your shit and move to one of them. Although with your psychological problems I doubt they'd take ya.

Notice every single place you cited has worse healthcare than America before we Socialized, and our economy is significantly better. Healthcare should be privatized entirely.

You also don't seem to know what the word "works" means.

Replace the ACA with single payer the rest of the civilized world enjoys. Lets not be left out in the cold!!!!

-It would be cheaper
-Moral

Only rich can afford what the ryans of this world want. That is wrong.
No, it wouldn't. It would increase our taxes dramatically, even more than right now, and it would be lower quality, and it would put the government further in debt. I've explained this to you THREE times.

Do you need a flashlight? I imagine the world looks pretty dark, since your head is firmly planted deep within your rectum.

I already have good insurance, I always have. I see no need to change things now when they seem to be working just fine.

I believe unregulated capitalism is evil...

I do believe in capitalism but what some on this board wish for is something that history should of taught people to reject.

Every time I ask someone of an example of unregulated capitalism, they immediately point to a socialized system.

There is nothing moral about it.
And it certainly would not be cheaper.

Even the groups in the US, who are pushing for socialized health care, suggest it would increase taxes on everyone by at least 11%. Bernie said 6%, but he's the only idiot that thought 6% would be enough.

And when you look around the world, there isn't a single example where it is cheaper. The UK has a tax rate that is nearly double our tax rate, and their health care system is running out of money.... with nearly double our tax rate.

along with the double our tax rate on earnings, you cant forget the value added taxes on fuel and other necessary consumer items. The whole economy becomes based on healthcare. That is no way for anyone to live.

I think it's inevitable that the USA goes single payer. Right now our health care system is falling apart before our eyes. Hell, most of the health insurance company employees have some sort of nursing degree or at least a nurses aid certification. So if they lose their insurance jobs they can just go into health care.

The unproductive dead weight of insurance company CEOs, board members and stock market speculators needs to be excised from the health insurance system.

The rich don't want it, and the rich control the political system and send out lots of messages that many people pick up and accept a true. The US will never do what is in the bet interests of the people, why do that? It doesn't benefit the rich. They just went and elected the RICHEST president in history, a guy who claimed he'd do things differently, and yet just appoints those who want to keep the rich richer to help him.

But then all those places spend a lot LESS on healthcare. Spend the same amount as is being spent right now, and make it public healthcare, and guess what? It'll probably be better for 99% of the people.

Dear Matthew you'd have to organize it where people who want it to work and sustain are paying into it. No system can ever last if people all expect to get paid out of it, and just expect other people to pay the costs. It should be set up to support the Members paying into it, and as it develops a better track record that can be demonstrated, then more people will choose to invest and participate so the outreach will grow. To keep it organized, I'd recommend forming local coops and networks where people in support can combine their resources collectively. Then expand to state and national, once the local programs work.

Yes, increase taxes, and take away the need to have health insurance. Imagine having to pay LESS for taxes and health insurance than before, or at least the same for a better system.

Why?

The UK makes people pay taxes for healthcare which costs HALF what the US spends. In other words, the UK system costs the same as what the people are already paying in taxes. A socialized system would probably stop paying top dollar for drugs, stop charging people to hold their babies, there would be no need to pay for insurance company profits or employees. How is this going to cost MORE exactly?

Trump wants single payer now ?

figures ...

Donald Trump called the Affordable Care Act a "disaster" that he wants to repeal and that Hillary Clinton would make health care even worse.

"She wants to go to a single-payer plan, which would be a disaster," Trump said during the presidential debate at Washington University in St. Louis Oct. 9. "Somewhat similar to Canada. And if you ever noticed the Canadians -- when they need a big operation when something happens, they come into the United States in many cases because their system is so slow, it's catastrophic in certain ways. But, she wants to go to single payer which means the government basically rules everything."

that was a lie BTW ...

Trump wrongly says Clinton wants single-payer

It seems to work everywhere else.

Except no, the system would be awful, because the government has no incentive for it to work properly, much like all of the issues we're having with Obamacare. The Canadians used to come to America for our Healthcare because unlike their system, it wasn't trash.

It would not be cheaper, since everyone would be paying for the lazy and worthless people. Socialism is never the answer.
