Reno church giving sanctuary for immigrants in US illegally
The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Northern Nevada became the first church in the state earlier this month to allow an immigrant to stay there, the Reno Gazette-Journal reported (Leap of faith: Reno church joins growing immigrant sanctuary movement).

(Illegal immigration is a crime and the church is aiding and abetting criminal activity. Personal values do not exempt one from obeying the laws or the land. Slavery was once supported as a Christian value. Acts like this only encourage more illegal immigration. It send the message that if you come here illegally or overstay your visas and have give birth to a child who is considered an American Citizen you can stay and you can work and you can collect social services available to these children at the expense of the American tax payers. Churches that does this should lose their non profit, etc tax exemption. They can bring children in the country who are not American citizens, they can take their us born children with the when they are deported. Not until we repeal Automatic Birthright Citizenship, will we ever stop illegal immigration.)

8 U.S. Code § 1324 - Bringing in and harboring certain aliens
(iv) encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law; or

(ii) in the case of a violation of subparagraph (A)(ii), (iii), (iv), or (v)(II), be fined under title 18, imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both;

And slavery lasted 245 years.

They asked who could question the Word of God when it said, "slaves, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling" (Ephesians 6:5), or "tell slaves to be submissive to their masters and to give satisfaction in every respect" (Titus 2:9).

I thought sanctuary laws died with Quasimodo. If not, they should have.

Go in and get them.
