Remember when your top earning years were typically 50-65?

For engineers it still is.
 
I must have missed something, I didn't see anything in that article about income that said peak earning years have changed.

Saw some net worth stats, and some spending pattern stuff.

Where was it?
 
I'm between 50 and 65. My earnings are the largest they've ever been and my net worth is the largest its ever been. As I age further, I expect both to continue to increase. Much of that is because as my net worth (mostly invested) increases from both additional savings (I'm earning more so I can save more) and investment growth, the thing we call "compounding" kicks into a higher and higher gear.
