Registration on Trump's jet has expired

The article says it cost $5.00 to re-register the private jet for three years. It also says the FAA sends two reminders about re-registration. Sounds like the FAA loses money from re-registering. Do five bucks cover the cost of producing mailing and handling of two letters ?

It's been expired for over two months.

>> Mr. Trump’s plane could be grounded for days, or even months, while the issue is sorted out. In the event of an accident, the company that insures the jet could cite the lapsed registration to decline any claims.

The F.A.A. could also fine or assess other penalties against the owner, the operator or both; Mr. Trump owns the plane through a limited liability company. Though it is unlikely that the agency would seek the maximum penalty, flying with no registration could result in a civil penalty of up to $27,500, a criminal fine of up to $250,000 and imprisonment for up to three years, it said. << --- NYTimes

No doubt Rump will be suing the FAA for using a calendar date in "the past". Just like he sued Palm Beach County for having a flight path over his estate :gay: that he was too stupid to check out before he bought the joint.

Great idea -- a POTUS who can't follow the rules for a simple five bucks. Hey Rump, I've got five bucks right here -- need another bailout?
