reason 2426 to cut immigration/etc

All this nations wealth is there, redistrubuted to the 1% of the 1%ers....

the rich pay MORE than their fair share
anyway--they need to cut taxes--not raise them

Why do they need tax breaks, when they've all the wealth?

How would taxing them more create wealth? If people have more money to spend, they are going to spend it on cheap imported goods at Walmart. Just taking money is pointless if it is not to fund programs that create wealth instead of mere consumption.

How's about paying down our national debt then.....?

What is the virtue in paying down the national debt? It is not the same thing as paying off a credit card. a quarter of the debt doesn't even really exist--it is money the government owes to itself. Where are military pensions and social security/medicare surpluses going to be invested safely with no national debt?

Actually, a debt driven economy is what fuels wealth redistribution to those same top 1% of 1%

But it's not so much being in debt, as being in exponential debt , which anyone doing the math claims unsustaiable

We have no trouble moving bonds. It is rather easy actually. Consumption is unsustainable as well, but I don't see a lot of democrats or republicans crying for economic contraction. It is ironic at least on the democratic side considering they allegedly want to reduce carbon and clean up the planet.

those making over $100,000 (a little over 20 percent of taxpayers) pay for 75.7 percent of total federal taxes (this excludes the burden on corporate and investment taxes).

Of course we don't Deks, rising numbers mean rising stats mean politicians rising to take credit for it all....remind me to get into detail should Obama's 'shovel ready' CCC redux ever gain legs on the usmb....
