Rand Paul's revealing letter from 2002

Give 'em enough time and the connies will be wanting to overturn Brown V Education and Plessy v Fergusion.

:lol::lol: Plessy v Ferguson WAS overturned, moron . . . by Brown v Board of Education. :whip:
I meant to say go back to Plessy...But if it gave you a laugh, it was worth it. lol.

And whips are fun.

Watching the illiterate struggle and thrash their way to an attempt at coherence in a one-sentence post is always amusing.

Rand Paul in '02: I may not like it, but 'a free society' will allow 'hate-filled groups to exclude people based on the color of their skin'

Right Now - Rand Paul in '02: I may not like it, but 'a free society' will allow 'hate-filled groups to exclude people based on the color of their skin'

So, in Rand Paul's mind, a Free Society has seperate lunch counters, seperate bathrooms, and an eatery can deny a person based on race. :clap2:

Freedom certainly requires the Right to decline association for whatever reason sound or not. Ya gonna say I should NOT be allowed to switch the channel or turn the TV off because I find Rachel Madcow to be an ugly, incoherent, boring, lezbo leftist bitch and THEREFORE a waste of my time to listen to?
What a bizarre analogy.

As bizarre as it's author.

............

How is this not racist?

'Racism' requires both intent and ability to do harm. In a town of say 2000 whites and 1000 'minorities' with a dozen restaurants and maybe 3 of which have WHITES ONLY SIGNS how is anybody harmed........REALLY HARMED........not just made to Feel Bad or Be Indignant????

Go to hell, NRA. We fought this out in the '60's and we won. We being the sane non-bigoted citizens of whatever political affiliation.

I have an idea, why don't we round up all those hate filled groups and put them in front of a firing squad.

Bizarre analogy? More like the rantings of a hateful paranoid. Too many on the far right are mentally disturbed.

I always find it amusing that the people who don't want to put any effort at thinking always dismiss people who suggest ideas they don't like as mentally disturbed while providing absolutely no reason to reach that conclusion.

If you've dealt with mentally disturbed people, you'd realize that most would be unable to type a coherant paragraph on the internet.

EXACTLY right! :clap2:

Freedom OF Association and Freedom of Assembly are Constitutionally protected RIGHTS.

Unless they are associating in a business called a corporation.

Then for some reason the people lose all their rights according to the left.

When you choose to adopt race card playing as a campaign strategy it just shows the utter, desperate nature of the Democrat Party. They have swung left and will be voted out in November...even if it means voting in peope like Rand Paul to counter socialism.

I have seen the race card being played. This is not one of those times...Rand paul said he thinks businesses should have the right to have "whites only" signs.

How is this not racist?

because the fed government has no right or legal power to control who businesses can or cannot hire

You don't honestly suggest that people should have freedom do you? They might not want to do things the way our Leader wants them to.

And I have no doubt that the Democrats sincerely appreciate all of the ammunition Rand Paul is freely giving them.

Yeah, the problem is that the entire populace of the US has seen the race card being played too--often and most times unecessarily.

Unfortunately, this means that Americans are largely becoming immune to the good old "that's racist" cat calls from those left of center, far left of center and far far left of center.

Perhaps these folks could familiarize themselves with an old parable. "The Boy Who Cried Wolf", in order to understand why the words "that's racist", "racist", "you're racist", etc. don't seem to hold water quite like they used to.

I've noticed that is the case in practice. Unfortunately, I can't find this exception ANYWHERE in the US Constitution. Can you? :eusa_think:

I hate to say this but if you want to live in a totally free society, he is right. If we did want to live in a free society we would have to allow groups like the KKK, Black Panthers, Aryan Nation etc. to live as thy like which would include allowing them to own restaurants and put up signs that say "whites only".

I only have one thing to say about that... Thank God we do not live in a totally free society.

Immie

How do you suggest you stop people from hating ?
Give everyone a "person" to take care of ,or just tax them and spread the money out of a community pool?

You first old man. Its a new day and time to correct the fuckups of burned out/used old old rocks like you.
I'm sure your views are older than the "old man's."

As much as I am opposed to the ideologies that Old Rocks holds, some of yours do not belong in society.

thing is YOU don't get to decide soooo piss on you sport

Oh, and I read that letter. I've also read Ron Paul's controversial newsletters too (way back when they were hot and controversial).

Nothing in them suggests racism.

If the only thing these dumbasses learned from the 60s is that only the government can be trusted to be moral, and that it has to impose morality on the masses, then it obviously needs to be refought so the mentally-challenged among us get it right this time.

Segregation is only one of Paul's favorite topics. He would like to deregulate BP and other oil companies along with the coal mining industry. Yup, the same individuals who have allowed the latest spills and mine cave ins.
