I'm not getting the OP at all. Granted, I'm on my first cup of java but it's not making sense to me.

Citizen's united is not a law, it the name of a political organization that challenged election law in court. They wanted to air a Hillary smear piece the right before an election but were prevented by law to do so. The court, instead of keeping the decision narrow as they should, issued a very broad ruling that effectively stripped all limits from spending as long as it is not a direct donation to candidates.
