for those who are in favor of legal abortion, what would you think if a law was passed providing men with a "paper abortion" that if fled during the same period of pregnancy that women are legally allowed to abort, that would relieve him from any parental responsibility(child support, etc), with no recourse available to the mother?

Sure. Assuming the father surrenders all rights and privileges towards that child forever at the same time.

Then yes. And only the mother or kid upon becoming an adult can decide if, for whatever reason, they want to allow the father to have some level of involvement in the future.

What???

One already can voluntarily terminate their parental rights provided they aren't doing so merely to avoid making child support payments. Both men and women can so petition.
