The futile "defense" of Trump has offered one possible avenue for right wingers; i.e. the Uranium One story accusing Hillary Clinton of collusion with the Russian; an accusation that has been hyped by conservative media and may actually prompt yet another of Rep. Gowdy's self-serving inquisition with the call for a special counsel, congressional inquiry, etc.

However, nothing works better than to cast an accusation and let that accusation fester with little to no intention of resolving whether the accusation is a bogus one or in need of a serious inquiry.

With republicans in FULL control of every facet of the federal government, one has to wonder WHY no real inquiry on this matter has ever been taken too seriously.....It seems that it is best to let those easily led by empty rhetoric accuse, rather than be offered a definitive adjudication.

Regardless of the many attempts made to put this story to rest, any thread on here that is damaging to Trump, is often met by some right winger offering the somewhat inane "defense" by typing out: "what about Clinton and Uranium One???"

So,for those who want to consider FACTS versus what is easier and more pleasant to believe according to biases, here is a pretty good explanation surrounding what actually happened with this uranium deal....Read the article, if you're interested....or remain biased:

We haven't even begun to scratch the surface of the crimes Hillary Clinton committed. I am so looking forward to Mueller's witch hunt to fizzle out so we can get to work investigating the real criminals who are Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

The problem isn't that the deal itself can be proved to be Hillary's deal. It's the simple fact that she somehow received a huge amount of money from Russia after the deal was completed, which is essentially the smoking-gun to the whole thing. Why did Russia give the Clinton Foundation $140 million during and after the Uranium One deal? Why was Russia giving anything to a US Secretary of State in the first place? Isn't that considered a bribe?

And what's worse is the Clintons gave China ICBM missile technology back in the 90s, which is currently being used by N. Korea to threaten us.

Here's something to mull over from Newsweek..

All told, $145 million went to the Clinton Foundation from those linked to Uranium One and UrAsia, but it went to the charity organization and not the Clinton family. Furthermore, most of those donations occurred before and during Hillary Clinton’s 2008 campaign...

Fact check: No, the Clintons were not paid millions by Russia

Further, (and this would make the Russians really really stupid in giving money for NO return.)

In order for Uranium One to aid Russia’s uranium supply, or any other nation’s, it would need an export license from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The company does not have an export license.

I want Trump to put a team of investigators like what Muller has on him. To be put against hillary, and give permission to investigate anything they can, the way Muller has with Trump. Then we will get justice.

Bullshit. When did they ever have classified info on their private email? As well as scrub it all before the Feds could get to it?

Report: Kushner, Ivanka Trump used third private email account

Report: Kushner, Ivanka Trump used third private email account
Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, have reportedly sent hundreds of emails from a third private email account while serving in their White House roles.

The address is now the third linked to the couple in recent weeks, Politico reported Monday, citing three sources familiar with the matter. A nonprofit watchdog group, the Project On Government Oversight, helped the news outlet coordinate the report.
The account, in which both the first daughter and Kushner had access to, has reportedly received hundreds of emails from White House government emails since January.
Many of the emails are internal travel documents and schedules, but some also contained official White House materials, Politico reported.
Most of the emails reportedly came from Trump's assistant, Bridges Lamar, and other White House staffers who work for Trump and Kushner. Lamar sent "daily" messages to the account that usually contained work-related “data,” a source familiar with the exchanges told the news outlet.

And what's worse is the Clintons gave China ICBM missile technology back in the 90s, which is currently being used by N. Korea to threaten us.

A bit of diversion from Uranium One......but, here are some facts (in spite of what hannity might have told you)

Basically, here's what happened:

Intelsat, an international communications consortium, wanted to put a commercial communications satellite in orbit.

Intelsat hired Loral to make the satellite.

Intelsat hired the Chinese to launch the satellite. The Chinese used one of their Long March rockets, the same sort they would use to hit us with ICBMs. ....the US and Russians have always used ICBM rockets for space launches.

The US govt. (under Clinton) approved a waiver allowing the US company, Loral, to launch on a Chinese rocket. Both Bush Sr. and Clinton had approved a number of such waivers over the years.

Problem: the launch failed (as rocket launches often do).

Insurers, among them US insurers, weren't too happy with all this, and said they would not insure future launches w/o more data/assurances. So they set up a committee, including people from Loral, to request more information to avoid another failure

In the course of this committee's work, some data regarding re-calibration may have been shared with the Chinese. The main problem is that they failed to go through channels, and there was the risk that the Chinese could have gained technology secrets from us.

Regarding Clinton's involvement, Congress (a Republican Congress,) conducted a full investigation, and found that while some information was passed to the Chinese by Loral, it didn't amount to much.

The reality, however, is that with the type of mega nukes the world now possesses, accuracy .....the type of accuracy that may have been shared with the Chinese.......is a worthless worry......

Does anyone think that if the Chinese were aiming a nuke to D.C. but missed and hit Arlington instead that such would make ANY difference???

And who owns the Clinton Foundation charity the Russians paid? Hillary and Bill Clinton. Even before her campaign and while she was Secretary of State, the Russians were banking on the fact that she was next in line for the Presidency. BTW, Uranium One was a Canadian company but was sold to the Russians. Hillary Clinton was involved in the transfer, how else do you think she accumulated $250 million in assets on a meager public servant's salary? And even though Uranium One didn't have an export license, do you really think a Russian-owned company during the corrupt Obama administration, is not going to figure out how to get that uranium out of the states?

By all means....stick to your story and fuck the facts.....

....and as far as Russia getting the uranium out of the country, it might have been easier if Flynn and Manafort were still around......don't you "think"?

(maybe Don Jr. can help???)

Not likely, the Russians had all the help they needed from the Clintons and Obama.

You sure are trusting of Hillary Clinton, aren't you? Too bad the rest of the country didn't trust her as much as you do...

All the ways to make money and like the Russians and uranium just dropped out of the sky in their lap

“The structure of CFIUS is such that no one agency can control the outcome of the consideration. Here it appears that the entire committee and the NRC were all satisfied with the mitigation put in place. It is a very far stretch to lay this result at State's doorstep—the vigorous objection of any of the security-minded agencies would likely have derailed the transaction, but none, evidently was forthcoming. I have no doubt that State favored the sale—but that is likely the position it would take today under Secretary Rex Tillerson and was surely the position it would have taken under Secretaries Colin Powell, Condoleeza Rice and John Kerry. State has a strong institutional bias in favor of accommodating foreign investment in the United States. Here, it seems clear that the Pentagon and DHS did not object either.” ibid

The reprehensible right will continue to ignore the facts and truth, of course, and propagate their inane lies.

Conservative credo: Repeat a lie often enough in the hope it’s perceived to be true.
