The oddest thing is that they try to make it seem a science. Rarely do we see the admission that it is psychology.
I'd say its more science by far. Let's not forget that while they did not predict the housing recession Bernanke knew exactly what to do afterwards. He correctly predicted the future that would unfold based on his policies. China has sustained numerous bubbles and 7% growth because it too knows what actions will create what future. Its all based on the work of Milton Friedman.
