The oddest thing is that they try to make it seem a science. Rarely do we see the admission that it is psychology.

I'd say its more science by far. Let's not forget that while they did not predict the housing recession Bernanke knew exactly what to do afterwards. He correctly predicted the future that would unfold based on his policies. China has sustained numerous bubbles and 7% growth because it too knows what actions will create what future. Its all based on the work of Milton Friedman.

If I was in charge I wouldn't rise rates before the elections ( and then I would probably do it only if republicans got ellected).

Dubya planned to do the same with the subprime mortgage crisis, unlucky him, the crisis unraveled before the election.

Culturecreep has no idea that there would be no power to be had were it not for liberals. In a real rightwing govt there would not be 2000 cronysocialist fascist liberal lobbyists for every Senator!
