Only if you do it with a straight arm punch. If you were to use a slapping motion (similar to a roundhouse action), you will hurt, possibly sprain or break, your wrist.

According to the rules (see my post, I added to it), leading with the palm is illegal.

Not surprising since it could easily break someone's jaw.
But again if you look at the video one of them obviously led with the heel of his palm.

And, they probably hurt their wrist. I didn't say that breaking or spraining your wrist would happen if you did that, I said it was POSSIBLE.

But, a lot of that force would have been absorbed by the rest of the hand, as it had to be a full hand slap.
