It is the weekend, and I figure you all need a break from the incessant political attack threads.

Many US politicians still take negative positions on the porn industry. What is your opinion on the pornographic industry in regards to policy?

as long as it is not forced, all those involved are legal age and it is not in anyway shown in public including advertising, I see no issue with it.

For anyone that knows my political beliefs, it should be obvious that I oppose all regulations on the porn industry.

There are debates on what constitutes the age of consent from a philosophical standpoint (not a legal one), but I believe anyone during or after puberty should be treated as being capable of making independent decisions regarding sex.

and what age do you put on that since not all reach puberty at the same exact age.

Regulations are killing the porn industry. Porn was completely run out of Los Angeles two years ago because of regulations. There will be a measure on the ballot in November to make those regulations state wide. Make similar regulations nation wide and this country will have no porn industry.

It is certainly destructive to some men who end up dysfunctional as a result. But, really who cares? It doesn't matter to anyone if some guy has watched so much porn he can no longer get an erection. Really, who is hurt? Just the guy. So what.

Perhaps advances in robotics will be the entire argument pointless.

Hmm, puberty is your age of consent. Seems absurd to me to think that because a child by legal definition has reached puberty they automatically have the mental maturity to make decisions regarding pornograpghic sexual behavior. I mean if society has decide they are not mature enough to operate a vehicle or buy alcohol, why is promiscuous sexual behavior within there level of responsibility?

I certainly would not my 13 year old child to be at the age of consent with respect to being in a skin flick. The idea of it is somewhat sickening in a perverted sort of way.

Not really to up to date on the goings on in the industry, but from a lay person(no pun intended) point of, there seems to be no shortage of porn available.

The two largest porn sites are based in Canada (Pornhub) and the United Kingdom (XVideos). Any regulations are just on the production and distribution of porn, and there are not a lot of regulations on production.

Pornography can screw people up. A lot do not have the mentality to jack off without getting fucked in the head, but that is not my problem.

You do realize most children reach puberty between the ages of 10-14 right? That's why they are called children

Historical cultures have treated puberty as the beginning of adulthood.

There are already 12 and 13 year old fucking. They have been on the planet long enough to make independent decisions on sex.
