Pollster intimidation?

Does it really suprise anyone that the left would stoop to shutting out any information that might hurt Der Fuhrer?

Report: Axelrod Sought to Intimidate Gallup When Findings Favored Romney

democrats dont just bring in the panthers for voter intimidation, they try to strongarm pollsters as well?

Well, they couldn't figure out how to punish the populace for holding a low opinion of Obama, so they tried to shoot the messenger.

This isn't at all surprising that they'd do something like this. It's Chicago-style thuggery in action. Reporters have been banned from the press pool for reporting on protesters at Obama speeches. Romney's campaign contributors have been audited and investigated by the IRS and other government agencies. Average people have been reported to the communist site known as AttackWatch. Anyone discussing current events, especially if they disagree with Obama, are likely to end up on Homeland Security's watch list. A man was arrested outside of the convention and held as a terrorist, but looks like it was to stop him from organizing protesters. We're living in a police state. The only people who approve of this are those who hold radical views and are safe from persecution.

Obama is a fragile little dictator who can't take the heat. He is only good at speaking, but lousy when it comes to taking action. His czars are busy behind the scenes carrying out the radical agenda while Obama is the front man who dazzles people with his dramatic reading of the teleprompter. His henchman, that would include union thugs, the DOJ and other radicals he appointed, are always on the look out for dissenters and they will intimidate, threaten or sue anyone who dares speak out against them. I am thinking that the new black panthers are an extention of the DOJ. Holder did say they were his people and neither he or Obama has ever spoken out against them.

There are many obedient media slaves who don't report news, but rather write down and report whatever they are told to. When something negative comes up about Obama, they ignore it, but yet they strive to make him look good with little to go on.

Obama has shown a strong desire to control the media. Typical of dictators.

The people at the convention cheering him on are the same ones who booed at the mention of God and stating that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. They think that by ignoring things, they can change the facts. There were many signs held by the people there. An assortment of communists, socialists, radical Arabs (Muslims), unions and sheeple who hate capitalism, liberty and all America stands for. Fuck 'em all.

It's no wonder so many Democrats refused to attend the fringe convention. The media hasn't really mentioned that, but then I didn't expect them to. If any Republicans opted out of their convention, they would have had microphones shoved in their face and a reporter would have demanded they explain.

This is actually very disturbing stuff....especially for the poll geeks among us (which I am one). What it implies is that team Obama recognizes that polling can create a bandwagon effect and, if true, they are attempting to create a political surge by using the Department of Justice to influence public opinion through manipulation of media and private industry. There is little question that the DOJ under Holder/Obama has been about the most corrupt and politically motivated government branch in recent memory (perhaps ever). All one needs to do is look at Fast & Furious, Black Panther intimidation, Gibson, Arizona SB 1070, etc to get the idea. That much is not in dispute nor has it become particularly amazing under this administration (despite how much liberals would love to pretend it is).

What is disturbing is the intention to force private enterprise / media into the role of propagandists for the administration. Perhaps not since the Alien and Sedition Acts of the Adams administration have we seen such a gross and blatant violation of the United States Constitution and indeed, while historically I have been hesitant to use such comparisons for obvious reasons, it really does border on Joseph Goebbels levels of activity because we're not just talking about "telling a lie", "putting some spin on things", "fibbing a bit" in regards to campaign trail rhetoric...we're talking about the deliberate and calculated effort to force media into the distribution of false information in order to achieve a political goal. Note I said "force" not "convince". Every politician attempts to convince the media that their way is the best in order to get positive coverage....few have used the DOJ to force that coverage as this report implies.

If this is accurate it represents an extremely disturbing trend and an even more frightening mindset from this administration. Then again they did say at the DNC that the only thing we belong to is government, so I suppose I shouldn't be all that amazed.

I would like to say this really shocks me but my reaction was more mild surprise given this kind of stuff is fairly common in Chicago politics from what I hear so the fact they would try the same tactics after getting to D.C. should not really surprise anyone.

Well what really raises my eyebrows even more is the Axelrod connection. Ethan Axelrod (David Axelrod's son) is the President of Project New America which is an...ahem "Independent" polling agency. Now I never cease to be stunned that their results are always several points more favorable for Obama than other polls (even the highly biased PPP). The difference is that PPP makes it clear they are a Democratic affiliated agency while PNA does not.

The obvious implication, of course, is that the Axelrods, being fully well aware that polls can start that bandwagon effect, have created (or taken over) a polling agency that they use to provide highly biased information in an attempt to influence public opinion. To those who are paying attention to such nuances of polling it's both infuriating and laughable.

If this report is accurate it suggests that they have taken it one step further by attempting to bully other organizations to do the same and that's propaganda through media manipulation by government. Very disturbing.
