At the State and Local level your ballot may actually have influence but beyond that it's meaningless. Your vote will not and has not ever counted. Presidents are selected, not elected. It's all an expensive theatrical production put on for the American Sheeple to make them feel like they are taking part in a democracy.

If voting could truly change the system it would be illegal...and that's a fact.

It's a sad state of affairs and it may be time to stop taking part in their game.

We live in a land unlike any other in this world. Even the poorest among us have luxuries beyond many others only dream of. Our constitution enumerates rights which supposedly cannot be taken from us.

However, if we fail to perform our civic duty and cast an informed ballot, we are showing that we merit none of those blessings. We no longer care about our freedoms.

As you pointed out, our voices are stronger in local and state elections. But, we also need to do whatever little thing we can do in selecting our chief executives to decide in which direction our country is going.

I plead with all of you, regardless of your party affiliation to vote! Read up on all the candidates and issues and let your voice be heard. This is the ONLY way we will be able to keep our blessed freedoms.

Thank you, Dr. Savage. The Founders were rightly concerned about mob rule and built in several protections against this in the Constitution. Unfortunately, they did not foresee the rise of political parties and partisan politics. I would urge people NOT to vote for any candidate or ballot measure they were not completely familiar with, but to say voting is meaningless is usually a political tactic to affect voter turnout.

What's up there Sunshine? :) Woke up with a Tummy Ache?....

I bet you'll feel better after a bowl or two of cereal. ;) Captain Crunch? Coco Puffs? Frosted Flakes? Name it. :):):)

Voting is only part of Civic Responsibility. Politicians do bend to the Public will when it is strong and focused. Despots generally run for cover when exposed to the light of day.

nothing worked Intense, not even my go to bowl of Coco Krispies.

The November Selections will be some good theatre to watch if nothing else. People will feel ecstatic that their "guy" got in office, and meanwhile business as usual continues uninterrupted behind the scenes by the "real" government tools.
