The lethal aid the US has delivered is somewhere in between Sweden and the UK. Some of what it being reported as aid to Ukraine isn't actually aid- it's permission for Ukraine to contract with US manufacturers to purchase the weapons directly. The Switchblade 600's are probably 2 years out- not in time to be useful.

Johnson is talking about providing Harpoon shore batteries to Ukraine, and there are multiple reports that they have already arrived in Odessa. That can push the Russian warships further offshore and stop some of the missile attacks.

At the moment Ukraine is negotiating with European countries for security guarantees vis-a-vis Russia. Whatever they decide, they will tell Ice Cream Joe, and he will go along- because he is simply incapable of doing anything else, and because does not have the cognitive power to actually consider the ramifications anyway.

The administration refused to use the word "win" in the Ukraine context. Milley and Austin were called out on that point on Thursday before the SASC. On Friday, the Pentagon in a bold statement (for this administration) actually used that word for the first time.

Odd thing, I think Biden's weakness has been a plus. Europeans have been forced to step up out of necessity. They take one look at the US and they know- it's them or nobody.
