I am in a thread right now arguing against Christians being forced to bake cakes for gay weddings, which violate their conscience. However, if this is true, it's also wrong. No one should be escorted from private (and public...really?) spaces because of the way they look.

Complaining does no good. If these people had any common sense or concern for the popular view, they'd not be putting this on to begin with. There is an agenda afoot to promote this stuff. Protesters will be dismissed as backward right-wing prudes. If they stopped the show citing complaints, everyone right down to the ACLU would sue in court claiming oppression of civil rights, racism and hate.

But put one Christmas show on and get a single complaint and they'd stop it in a heartbeat.

Protesters gathered in Gerritsen Beach on June 6 to express outrage over the appearance of a drag queen at a reading event for children, which they said would be detrimental to the welfare of minors.

“I was rather appalled by it simply because I really feel that it is not just a diversity issue but a morality issue,” said James Bickle. “It’s especially bad because it’s an indoctrination of little children.”

“Drag Queen Story Hour captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity in childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models,” read the event’s promotional material.
