God help up. It has been reported that Nancy Pelosi said the stimulus package must be voted on today because she has to go to Europe to receive an award from an Italian legislative group. Okay folks, the biggest pork spending package in the history of the U.S. is being voted on without sufficient time to read the 1,000+ pages. What does that tell you about the state of our country? Add to that Pelosi is getting an award from Europe. The last thing I want is to see our country going the direction of Europe, but that is what is happening. Americans are too lazy or disinterested to see what is happening to us. The current administration and Democratic Congress is in a big rush to change our world so they can maintain control forever. The government is quickly taking hold of your health, finances, what news you should hear and how you live your life. But don't worry you can still watch American Idol. Sadly, there is no place to run to.

I couldn't agree with you more. Our politicians really don't care if the stimulus bill is right...they just care it's a stimulus bill. Obama wanted it by the 16th...so *puff* there's a stimulus bill. This is not the way to do politics that affects over 300 million people in the US, plus not telling how much it will affect billions in the world. TwoGreen is right about people watching American idol. They know more about that program, than they do on what's going on in America, and how the decisions will affect them. I've always thought that people live in their bubble, and nothing bothers them until it's way too late. Then wonders how did this happen? For all you liberals, Pelosi has one thing on her mind, and one thing only...well maybe two. Number one is she want to bring full blown socialism to our great Nation, and number two, she wants globalization of our country. But first she and the hard left needs to dummy down Americans. I can care less which party it is. They are both in need of a good house cleaning. You woud sure think the Democrats and Republicans would have all gotten that message at this point.

If the citizens do not demand that their representatives start actually representing their best interest overall the counrty is going down hill worse than it already has.

I for one have five grandchildren I would like to see have that same liberty and freedom to have dreams that can be actually realized without depending on some corporate thugs along the way mugging them.

Obama is a great speaker, and sounds like he has all the answers. Once again he can fool most of the people. Unfortunatley, he's a socialist. Unfortunatley, most Americans don't know what a socialist is all about. They're going to learn from a work in progress program. I guess what I'm trying to say is that the conservatives need to be more aggressive at getting their word out, and not trying to take the high road all the time. It's time to roll the sleeves up and take it to the liberals.

There are probably only a handful of politicians who truly care to represent the people. All the others are selfish, power hungry individuals who are only interested in their own agenda. These creeps don't live by the rules they set. I suggest everybody read up on the health care provisions they are sneaking in with the stimulus "spending" package. Senior citizens especially need to get ready to accept their fate. Your life expectancy will dictate the medical care you get. Give thanks to Tom Daschle for his input on that measure. But why should our elected officials care? They and their families get the best health care coverage available for their lifetime. So while some government bureaucrat is denying treatment to your grandmom because it not cost effective, politicians like Edward Kennedy will be treated until he takes his last breath. All these b..tards need to be taken out and their benefits need to be stripped down to mirror what most Americans live by. This might be the only way to clean house and get body of honest Americans who truly want to serve their Country in accordance to the Constitution.

Well said, absolutely agree with you. This country as we know it is rapidly deteriorating. Wonder if those who think Obama is the greatest thing since sliced bread will still be thinking that when they have zero choice in many, many things they now take for granted. I am afraid those who are strong Obama supporters have no clue who this man really is and what he stands for. Just take a look at his recent Town Hall visits. It was like a pep rally. This man can do no wrong in their eyes. They will listen to what the Obama loving media says. I wonder how much this guy has to screw up before the media will acknowledge it. His first press conference was a joke. His cabinet appointees all have baggage. Every direction you look there is a conflict of interest. Democrats Delay Bill Release to Conceal Details - HUMAN EVENTS

Instead of publishing the bill as a regular internet document -- which people can search by “key words” and otherwise, the Dems took hours to convert the final bill from the regular searchable format into “pdf” files, which can be read but not searched.

Three of the four .pdf files had no text embedded, just images of the text, which did not permit text searches of the bill. That move to conceal the bill’s provisions had not been remedied this morning at the time of publication of this article.
