Pelosi's new office: $18,736 a Month

Pelosi's district is 100% urban educated dummies.

Is there a problem with living in the city? Oh! I forgot, you are only a true American if you live in a small town.:cuckoo:

No the problem is us taxpayers paying damn near 19 grand for an apartment ya dumbass!

Right.

Its payed for with taxpayer dollars so you cn bet your ass Pelosi doesnt' give a rats ass.

Thats the problem with the Govt Clowns. They are spending taxpyaer dollars and could care less how much they spend and on what.

She needs more room?? What a load of BS. She should get rid of some of the people who work for her. I'm sure theres plenty of dead weight there. Plenty of people who don't do jack shit and get payed with the taxpayer dime as well.

But what would one expect of that idiot. Heres folks in the country out of work and she gets herself a newer, grander office. Hmmmm Must be nice to be so damend important.

Jeeze.

and the elite just keep eatin' our meat.

San Francisco is a high-rent city. Just ask Nancy Pelosi.

The House Speaker's district office in the new federal building in San Francisco costs a whopping $18,736 a month -- the highest rental paid by any member of the House -- or, more precisely, the highest rental paid by taxpayers on behalf of a member of the House. The rental price was reported by Roll Call on Monday.

There is also the business aspect to being Speaker of the House. She's second in line of succession to the presidency. Just because you lunkheads and Fox News object to the rent... Lmao!

Who cares?

The taxpayers should care.

Don't forget she also insisted and got a much bigger plance, which has been a lot more expensive to operate.

We paid more than that for Hastert's food bill.

Republicans with genuine gripes against Obama (and hell, i have a couple myself)...don't you hate namvet and these dumb ass threads?

I would.

....WHEN have you ever bitched about Obama?....oh thats right....you did not like the Suit he was wearing when he was hosting Calderon....ok thats one....whats the other?....

She has to pay that much, no one can stand to look at that scrambled face of hers.

IS the office cheaper per month than her Jet?, she need to get rid of one or the other, that is just crazy.

.
YOu mean the jet Bush set up for the speaker of the house after 9/11?

Don't confuse them with facts.

What makes this extra insane, is that there is a commercial real estate glut in downtown San Francisco right now. One can find Class A space for less than $2 per square foot. Pelosi is paying more than triple the market rate for her space - which is a pretty good metaphor for the cost of every government program.
Bet someone she knowns owns it.

So, Nancy, how's that railing against the Culture of Corruption thing working out for ya?

Bush provided Hastert with a commuter jet. This bitch demanded a 757 sized jet that costs $22K an HOUR to operate.

White House Defends Pelosi Over Plane Request - Politics | Republican Party | Democratic Party | Political Spectrum - FOXNews.com

You liberal morons are blind

She had to have the larger plane because it was necessary for security reasons (a C-20, the plane Hastert used, can't fly from DC to California without stopping to refuel).

That's some bullshit, there are SEVERAL military airfields between DC and SF that they could have stopped and refueled at.

You fucking loons will defend anything won't you?

It's still a security risk. If you look back at it, Pelosi's request was never for the larger plane. It was simply for a plane capable of cross-country travel without stopping to refuel.

Landing at a military airfield is a security risk?

Ummm...no, it's not. That's absurd.

I'm going to take the word of those with actual knowledge of the issue (like the House Sergeant at Arms) over that of some crank with a keyboard.

 He recommended a plane with non-stop capability. He didn't recommend any particular airframe.

Your point being?
The C-20F, the military model of the Gulfstream IV, has the range to make a nonstop DC-to-Frisco flight. And it only costs $5900/hour to operate.

Pelosi could have her security for a lot cheaper.
