I lived there from 1967-2008, my wife and I couldn't take it any longer. We decided to not be part of them wallowing in their own slop.

Yea i just don't understand why so many continue to rush out there to vote and re-elect more inept Socialist Democrats. Haven't Pelosi and her fellow Socialist Democrats done enough damage to California at this point? Many like to say "Well California has a Republican Governor so it's all his fault" but in reality Arnold is not a Conservative in any way and is actually closer to being called a Liberal. The real problem with California is that their State Legislature has been controlled by the Socialist Democrats for several decades. There is very little a Republican can do as Governor. Californians need to get rid of their Socialist controlled State Legislature if they ever want to see real improvements in their state. Til then California will continue its rapid slide into Third World Misery. Hey it is still a free country though and they are certainly entitled to be stupid and keep on voting for more misery. Just take a close look at all areas of this country controlled by Socialist Democrats and you will quickly see that they have all become Third World Nightmares. Pelosi is a joke but people keep on voting for her out there. It is very sad but it is what it is in the end.

I agree with what you have to say. Just add in the AFSCME (state,county,municipal union), AFT (teachers union) , a few other unions and the environmental wackos you have a state of collapse.

that's a long time. a ship i served on home ported out of mare island in frisco back in the 60's. Calif was of course, so much different back then. I had a blast out there. haven't been back since 70.

Back in the 1960's and 1970's California was a great place to live, but then the 1980's rolled around and it started going to hell.
Don't tell Barbara Boxer you called San Francisco, frisco. She's worked hard to earn the
Gay Bay proper respect.
