The last super bowl was one of the top 10 watched events in history. Regular season viewing is down for several reasons and most of it has nothing to do with the false claims made by Trump that you bought into. CTE, lack of concern for player safety, dislike of Goodell, the treatment of Kaepernick also factor into the reduction. And the more the owners side with Trump, the worse it will get for them.

On opening week viewership was down significantly from last year.
