Our Northwest States Are Getting Tortured.

Not if Trump was in charge.
Good grief, you moonbats are fucking pathetic.

Driving to work yesterday was like driving into Mordor as I headed east. There was a fine dusting of tiny bits of ash falling through much of the day.

The words "air" and "quality" do not belong in the same sentence right now. A dim, red sun is trying to peek through an ochre sky right now, but not doing a particularly good job of it.

There must be a formula for it.

Take a person with an IQ of 80, deny them a proper education, expose them to relentless propaganda that triggers all their fears in the world, transfer the embodiment of all these fears into one, single man and voila'.

Quick question: What color is the sky in your world?
Cleaning the under brush in a forest prevents fires from spreading. Trump suggested California and other states to do the same. But just like Europe you loons laughed at him. Now both are paying the consequences of not listening to him.

We put a man on the moon but we can't put out a forest fire. Wouldn't you think they could develop better technology in the 21st century to extinguish a forest fire than dropping buckets of water? I guess the blame game and extortion works from a political standpoint. Blame America for global warming.

If Tru,p was in charge sane forestry practices would have diminished the fires.
We have a LOT of undergrowth on public lands(BLM?) around here which really ACCELERATES the speed of a wildfire. When these wildfires are approaching(freaking fast!) ones property they have a certain sound, like a jet passenger aircraft gaining altitude after take off. Even @ 3-4 miles out I could see that corkscrew fire was generating fire tornadoes/twisters as it came down the hillside. These fire(?) twisters look like they are being ejected forwards(low pressure/high velocity winds?) from the main body of the fire. This was the first time I got a view of a wildfire @ night time. It literally reminded me of what hell must look like.

Yes. Getting rid of dead brush was raking the forest.

Trump was correct, but you can't tell guys like Newsom anything. First off he'd say it's too expensive.
Maybe America today can take a hint from the past and use the CCC program created by FDR.

“You’ve got to take care of the floors. You know the floors of the forest, very important,” Trump noted Saturday surrounded by the devastation of the burned town of Paradise in northern California.

“I was with the president of Finland and he said, ‘We have a much different —we’re a forest nation.’ He called it a forest nation, and they spent a lot of time on raking and cleaning and doing things. And they don’t have any problem. And when they do, it’s a very small problem,” Trump said.

The trees aren’t the same.
Finnish forests are mainly filled with tall boreal trees — pine, spruce and birch — whereas much of Californian vegetation consists of lower-lying chaparral shrub land and small trees, which are more prone to catching fire.

“The whole comparison is a bit wild,” said Mr. Lindberg, who suggested that it would be better to study methods in Mediterranean Europe, where forests are more like those in California.

President Sauli Niinisto of Finland said, in an interview published Sunday in a Finnish newspaper, that in a brief conversation in Paris on Nov. 11, he had explained the virtues of Finnish forest management to Mr. Trump. But he didn’t recall mentioning raking.

Just a sample of the crap said about Trump for daring to suggest sane forestry practices.

Yes the forest floor is called a floor. Yes the dead brush needs to be cleared away even if you call it raking.
