Actually, it is working out very well.
Or did you forget about the millions that still ARE employed....and the millions that WERE employed and will be employed in the future?
300 million people and the poorest of the poor have refrigerators, cell phones...and most with a car. Our poor have plans for friday night...the rest of the worlds poor have no food for tonight.
You guys really need to get a grip. To have the advantages of a free life you must deal with times that are not the best.
Or you can dance when times are good and complain and insist on changes when times are bad. Problem is, if you do, there may be little dancing when times are good becuse the good times are not as good as the good times were in the past.
Be careful what you wish for.
So, are you suggesting that capitalism needs a large central government in order to exist?
where in the hell did you see THAT in my post?
He's a marxist socialist??? WTF is that?

Because your response was to my questioning of how well capitalism was working knowing full well that without the money from our Federal Government, most banks, large insurers and a few auto makers would have gone under.

Yes, but the probem all three faced are by and large caused by goofy intrusions in the markets.... see goofy and punitive environmental standards and union nonsense and goofy liberal lending requirements imposed on banks.
Whle not the only causes, they were significant factors. Capitalism may not be the best system, but it is the best system so far. Socialism/Marxism/Communism are dismal failures.
Obama's Budget -- What Was He Thinking?
By Ryan Ellis - FOXNews.com
Ryan Ellis is the Director of Policy at Americans for Tax Reform.
Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) is ostensibly a group that pushes for lower taxes. It has close ties to the Republican Party and has frequently allied itself with the tobacco industry.

ATR is headed by Grover Norquist, one of the most connected members of the new right-wing movement. He has close ties to the Republican Party, large U.S. business interests, and both the subsidized and regular U.S. media. Norquist helped the Heritage Foundation write the Republican's 1994 Contract With America.
Shortly thereafter, Norquist led a right wing charge to "de-fund" the left, declaring that "We will hunt [these liberal groups] down one by one and extinguish their funding sources." Norquist has also worked as a lobbyist for clients including Microsoft, American Business for Legal Immigration, Distilled Spirits Council, Edison Electric Institute, Interactive Gaming Council, and British Petroleum.

Grover Norquist
He is one of the "Gang of Five" in Nina Easton's 2000 book by that name, giving the history of leaders of the modern conservative movement. He has been described as "a thumb-in-the-eye radical rightist" (The Nation), and "Tom Paine crossed with Lee Atwater plus just a soupcon of Madame Defarge" (P.J. O'Rourke).
Norquist is famous for his widely quoted comment that he wants to shrink government "down to the size where we can drown it in the bathtub." Norquist largely rejects relativism and is comfortable assigning the labels of "good" and "bad". The pledge of "no new taxes" that so many Republican legislators signed was his project. He holds regular meetings for conservative leaders in which strategy is discussed. He once commented, "We play for keeps; they play for lunch."
Even within conservative circles, Norquist's combative personality has made enemies. Conservative columnist Tucker Carlson once called him a "mean-spirited, humorless, dishonest little creep ... the leering, drunken uncle everyone else wishes would stay home."

"We're going to crush labor as a political entity"
Grover Norquist
Got news for you right wingers...YOU are labor too...
He's a marxist socialist??? WTF is that?
Marxism is just an extreme form of socialism.. Marxism, Socialism and Communism are all interrelated.
Maybe the statement is a bit redundant.. but, still, the man is a hardcore Marxist Ideologue and therefore, a socialist.
