Obama "Very Interested" In Raising Taxes Through Executive Action

Just so you know, I have not made mention of your poor language skills but rather the silly leftist ideas you spew.
Call it whatever you want I am not a politician and cannot classify myself in any category. It is not an idea. It is what I see... If my "leftist" view is so wrong what do you have to prove me wrong?
We don't prove negatives here.
Your view of how things should work is incompatible with anything for which this nation stands...
Yeah and it is going to be the downfall of the human race.. Yes walk away with your tail between your legs. Way to go! You don't have the slightest clue of how I see things working and you cant even argue your side to stand up for what you believe... very nice lol
Oh your posts expose you like an open book....Based on them, you are a true believer in equality of outcome. Of the US as a socialist nation. have zero understanding of business acumen. Despise capitalism and the profit motive. Abhor the concept of the entrepreneur.
I have covered it all.
That silly tail between the legs thing is just another lib ploy to help yourself believe a loss in an argument is a win.
Dude, you could not keep up with me if you were turbo charged and had a 5 mile head start...
I can outsmart you and that's with spotting you the open end of the proverbial wet paper bag...
Now I DECIDE when a conversation is over. Not you.
Now,because you are a lib you MUST have the last word...Go ahead. You cannot resist. Come on..Post something clever.
No sir! I am not a believer in equality of outcome nor a socialist nation because I know a socialist society would collapse due to no drive to create or work hard. I do despise FREE capitalism because it has gotten out of hand and things are so lopsided right now. We need the profit motive to drive our brightest but really man look at the wealth spread of this country. What is it 1% of the world controls about 39% of the wealth.... So you think.. man there are not many who can truly outsmart me.. Although this is not a battle of smarts it is about trying to figure out what is best for the people of this nation and world. So if you want to decide this conversation is over then by all means go right ahead. but I'm sure I just threw you a curve ball! I wont begin to think that I know you or have you nailed down cause I know our minds go very deep.
Spreading wealth? By what method? Under threat of government sanctions? That's theft.

Money should be free to all? No wonder these loony libs have such a tough time understanding economics. They think money should be free to all.
I believe this poster is here pulling every one's chain.

Now who ever said money should be free to all? Quit twisting shit around...

Woo. Quoting your post (above):
"See that is just a misconception.. Why should money cost something??? Why should we have to pay for the things that should be free to all?"

Exactly what did I twist?
as I stated money is never equal to its own face value, there for it will always cost something. the things that should be free like food, water, the commodities needed to sustain human life. We don't just pay for it we pay for while making others rich! now obviously the way the world is setup we are going to have to pay for it from here on out but why make others so rich and powerful while doing so?
as I stated money is never equal to its own face value
Explain that...
So as soon as money is printed it is lent out with interest... Therefore what was just printed can never be of equal value to what is circulating the market.. So when you go to pay it back you are buying it for more than what it is actually worth. Now of course that could be misinformation but that is my current understanding.

Na see that is where it gets tricky. Basically need to sway the hearts and minds of the ones who control that money. Make them understand what they are really doing to the world and get them to pay their employees better along with helping out other nations and stop buying so much materialistic things that they don't really need because it is simply the right thing to do.. Of course many will argue that by buying those products they are supporting others by giving them jobs but there are many other ways to create jobs and invest in people as well as other businesses. I know im living in a fantasy world lol. Now don't get me wrong. I hate welfare and people need to get the hell off it and go find work. If they don't want to they need to quit draining the pockets of the ones who pay taxes and well be forced to do something for the money they are getting. Call that slavery or whatever but im tired or giving up half my paycheck and watching drug dealers collect free money.

Nah but he/she clearly has trouble making him/herself understood. From the rambling, disconnected posts I gather he/she doesn't really know much but desperately wants everyone to know it.
Na I just have a greater understanding of things that is hard to put into words... And I am a He lol.
Na I just have a greater understanding of things that is hard to put into words
And a marvelous command of the English grammar....
Wow..
Question...Why not leave people guessing as to the level of your stupidity rather than post here and remove all doubt?
So intelligent, I wish I could be like you! hey lets pick on someone and say they don't know anything when in reality they know and see more than you could ever possibly comprehend..

And a pompous, delusional idiot to boot. I'm shocked. Truly shocked.

Now who ever said money should be free to all? Quit twisting shit around.. I believe we need to work hard for what we get in life. The point I was making is that money always comes with a price and is never equal to its own value... and yes I understand we don't live in the dark ages anymore so economics is very important but there are too many manipulators who don't give a shit about the little guys.
You did...
do you really want one of us to find the quote? Or maybe you should just stand down and save yourself the embarrassment.
Define "little guy"...
Let me whack you in the back of the head with this....
I grew up in a union heavy state. I got used to union guys who were making very good livings, owned a vacation home in the country or maybe a nice boat and got to go on Caribbean or European vacations who referred to themselves as "the little guy"...What a fucking crock
So you tell me...who is "the little guy"...
HA yeah def not who I am referring to.. I am talking about the guy who busts his as working 2 full time minimum wage jobs just to provide for his family. Or the kids in the 3rd world countries who cant get any healthcare and starve to death because the land is unsuitable to grow a crop or hunt on or the people working in sweatshops to provide our goods.
Min wage jobs were never intended to support a family.
Having children is a choice. So is making sure one does not bring children into the world that they for which they cannot financially support.
An employer does not "owe" an employee anything extra based on the choices made by workers.
Kids in the 3rd world? Umm....What?....There are tons of charitable organizations. Feel free to donate. And not from taxing me more.
Now, you were asked to define "the little guy"...Address THAT. And only that.

Ok the little guy is the one at the bottom of the food chain... The thing about that is that there are soooooo many variables that can keep a man/woman there over the course of their lives. Granted some people just don't listen, some people are corrupt, and some are bogged down due being overwhelmed by fear. Some just have a hell of a childhood and don't want to deal with the bullshit in the world. Hell man I got all kinds of ideas that could change this world for the good. Most of which are shot down due to not having money to test things. A lot are already taken. Some I just refuse to release due to greedy fingers getting on it. Some for fear of being taken out by money whores. It has turned into such a corrupt and greedy society that is polluted by bad media and paranoia. See I am a believer of God and want good to prevail.

Finally! A rational thought! You do indeed suffer a serious disconnect from reality that makes you sound like a raving idiot. It is not your right (nor that of our gov't) to impose what you believe to be fair on others. That's the beauty of America ... FREEDOM. You are free, however, to pursue your own best interest in a way that you choose. See how that works?

Well what do you expect when you take a stab at someone for simply stating their opinion?? You have no clue who you are talking too. Yet you claim they are so stupid based off of a few statements.. I will never claim to know it all but will always be seeking knowledge.

The rate is 35%.....And if our rate were lower( how about the lowest) there would be no need to send production off shore. No reason for inversions. No need for companies to invest overseas instead of domestically.
16th lowest. Who cares. The fact is the rate effective or not is chasing business and jobs out of the country.

Nobody pays tax rates, not even you.

Inversion is tax avoidance. Every company that played the inversion game left with deferred tax numbers that they'll NEVER pay. Take Burger King with $50M in differed income.

Agreed....I am very disconnected from things in certain ways but I still have a very good understanding of things. That is why I am on here. Freedom is not really free anymore though. I do see how it works but have a hard time agreeing with it. No one can do what they want when they want cause we are controlled by money. They only way that is possible is when we are having others make the money for you. Now there is never going to be a chance in hell that everyone is going to get what they want or deserve no matter how hard they try and there are too many people trying to play God to keep others in their place and deciding that they think they know what is best for others. Take college for example. If you cant afford it you are stuck. If you don't have someone to cosign a loan you are basically screwed. All I know is that there is so many things wrong with our current situation and want to have a say and impact.

Only in the minds of the mentally retarded does ANY President the authority to raise taxes.
Who is claiming Obama raised taxes? Link?

So you admit to being ignorant of the topic of the thread? ;)
No. Eliminating loopholes is not raising taxes.

Thus creating new ones is not cutting taxes.
I agree.

Sounds like we have a great way for a conservative president to lower taxes on society's producers without having to wrangle a hostile Congress. Great idea.

I didn't ask for their rationale, dope.

I asked if it was legal. And if you say it was, then why is that legal and Obama's EOs not legal?

We haven't even gotten to Reagan.
You are making up your own reality. I never said Obama is in violation of the law.

That is the wingnut argument - "Obama's unlawful Executive Orders" - is it not?

I stated that Obama in use of EO's to bypass Congress and thus circumvent the process.

Just as Bush did with Stem Cell funding.

You cannot provide a single example of a previous president usurping, bypassing or otherwise stepping on the lawful authority of Congress by use of an executive order.

Again, Bush's stem cell EO. Isn't funding the lawful authority of Congress, particularly the House?

If it was challenged (which I'm sure it was) then they obviously lost, proving that a President has the legal authority to issue Executive Orders.

According to the Constitution, Congress is to levy taxes.
Article I, Section 8, Clause 1:
The Congress shall have Power to lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States.
Closing loopholes is not raising taxes.

Where did the Bush administration get their authority to decide to deny California the authority to regulate carbon dioxide emissions from automobiles?

Isn't that a States Rights issue?

That was one of his EOs.
Oh so now we HAVE states rights....Hmm....
Once again a flaming lib wants it both ways...
BTW, California has ALWAYS had its own emissions standards. In fact for the last 40 years California law mandates autos sold or registered in the state be equipped with state approved emissions devices.
Without a link, you're bullshit.
The president-elect has said, for example, that he intends to quickly reverse the Bush administration's decision last December to deny California the authority to regulate carbon dioxide emissions from automobiles. "Effectively tackling global warming demands bold and innovative solutions, and given the failure of this administration to act, California should be allowed to pioneer," Obama said in January.

California had sought permission from the Environmental Protection Agency to require that greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles be cut by 30 percent between 2009 and 2016, effectively mandating that cars achieve a fuel economy standard of at least 36 miles per gallon within eight years. Seventeen other states had promised to adopt California's rules, representing in total 45 percent of the nation's automobile market. Environmentalists cheered the California initiative because it would stoke innovation that would potentially benefit the entire country.

Obama Positioned to Quickly Reverse Bush Actions

If only right wingers would learn to look up the definitions of plutocracy or oligarchy.....instead of blind hatred of Obama.....but, alas, they are dumb, closet-racists, ....and, of course, learn all they think they need to know from FOX
