I saw a program on discovery or the History channel today that said in the past three decades or so, on just military purchases, (not the cost of paying the military and all involved like retirement pay and benefits etc), we have spent 70-80 TRILLION in today's dollars....all going to the Military Industrial Complex....and R & D which does not all come from the Defense budget but is for defense, and I would imagine the secret underground bases they've put in or secret projects, black projects I would suppose is included... (I haven't had a chance to research this yet to verify, but I will)

And ALL OF THIS, according to the Constitution, is unconstitutional.....they(our founders) tried to protect us from the Military Industrial complex back then by only allowing us to have a standing Army to be called up 2 years at a time and only funded 2 years at a time, without another vote from congress having to take place.....and it taking 2/3's of the house and Senate voting yea, to go to war with anyone.... neither of which were followed...

Instead, the Military Industrial Complex WON.
