President Obama, on campaign trail, urges against disillusionment - latimes.com
Mindful that some of his early supporters are feeling deflated, President Obama offered a frank admission that job losses and home foreclosures have made it tough for Democrats to retain the buoyant sense of optimism touched off by his election nearly two years ago.

But he said that apathy is no answer. Republicans, he said, are "counting on you to forget who caused the mess in the first place. And now they … want you to believe the election is a referendum on the economy, a referendum on me.''

Invoking President George W. Bush, Obama said: "It's not like we didn't try what they're peddling. We tried it for eight years. It didn't work. … Ohio, it's up to you to tell them we do not want what they're selling. We've been there before and we are not going back.''

Hey, let's bring those guys we booted out back into power! A mere 4 years later!:cuckoo:
Those guys who promise more of the same!:eusa_whistle:

No let's keep in the ones that tripled the deficit in 2 years. Lets keep the ones who can't even vote on extending the tax cuts, let's keep in the ones that voted for this mess called Obamacare, and definitely support the president that does not believe in US exceptionalism.

Just to set the record straight, the Dems have had a majority since 2007.

I don't think the record was ever incorrect. Now how about those guys who started two wars and lowered taxes... That didn't put us on a path to recession, did it?

Perfectly democratic. We're going to vote their asses out.

Right back to the crap you had before them. Perfectly logical.:cuckoo:

Remind us what the unemployment rate was under the last administration? Remind us what the deficit was under the last administration? The facts can't change no matter how much you want them to. Bush was another big govt president but can't hold a candle to Obama and that is a fact as the numbers support it.
"From the moment George Washington took the oath of office until Obama did, America had borrowed $9 trillion. Under Obama, it has borrowed $3.2 trillion more, in less than two years."
Hoover + McGovern = Obama - Dick Morris & Eileen McGann - National Review Online

Well, the economy was fucked before Obama got into office, Mr. Revisionist. No amount of wishful thinking will change that. The circumstances we now face were put into place by a Republican congress.

And the Dems were in power for 2 years before Obama was in power... "You people" seem to blame Republicans for 8 years when it was really 6 and pretend that Dems have only had 2 years in power, not 4. For the people that make laws it goes Republicans = 6 Dems = 4... Now I don't like the republicans or the Democrats but to act as if dems simply have not had enough time to "fix" things when we see ZERO repeal of the Bush years, only expanding of Bush's "evil" programs.

Fuck you Dems and fuck you Neocons... You both had a long time in power and proved to run the country the same and that's MORE GOVERNMENT AT ANY COSTS!

Obama calls you a moron and you love it!!

He blamed bush AGAIN! He's out of ideas. For 6 years the economy was ok, then the dems took over and in 2 years it's in the shitter. But it's BOOOOSH, not the dem controlled congress that spent the money.

What have the dems done for the economy that worked?

NOTHING

You can't, CAN'T be this dumb.

You forgot 9/11
And everyone older than 5 knows it was the housing bubble creadted clinton (D) and the other dems that caused the economy to fall.

Maxi, Nanci, Crissie and Barnie…
Have you been drinking slurpees. Hahahaha......

Seeking to explain his party's troubles, the president focused not on controversial legislation like national health care and the stimulus but on evolutionary psychology. "Part of the reason that our politics seems so tough right now, and facts and science and argument do not seem to be winning the day all the time, is because we're hard-wired not to always think clearly when we're scared," Obama told the assembled Democrats, who paid $15,200 a person to attend. "And the country is scared." To "break through the fear and the frustration that people are feeling right now," Obama told the crowd, will require high-end donors not just to "write checks" but also to "lift up people's spirits and make sure that they're not reacting just to fear."
Americans aren't thinking clearly.

Dont you know that if you don't agree with obama you don't have an IQ. Just think, if you can, how damn good the food was at $15,200 just to attend.

wait a minnut

There was food, wasn't there? I'm mean people would pay that much for any seats at any kind of concert.

wait another minnut

At that much, no one that was not rich could hope to attend. At $10/hr you would have to save for months w/o spending a dime!

Does this mean the dems don't care about the middle class or the poor either?

Yes it does, it's not shocking, to those of us that have been poor.
