obama to sign the UN small arms treaty July 27 2012

When the Canadians start showing concern about the UN treaty it's time to take another look at exactly what it is the gun grabbers are defending

U.N. Arms Trade Treaty = Global Gun Control - YouTube

Very good video, and interesting to hear him say Canada has considered leaving the UN. Wow.

Canada is not known for it's love for Guns like it is in America, but when they show signs of concern it's time to pay close attention to what's going on.

A good case for never ever registering your guns.

Hard to round them up when you dont know where to look.

WE should be right with them and kick thier Socialist/Despot asses right out of NYC.

Totally in agreement.

That treaty will NEVER get Senate ratification. Nor should it.

That's what they said about obamatax not passing congress but it did, and they also said it never would be ruled Constitutional in the supreme court, but it was.
I'm not counting on those bastards who were sent to DC to protect my right any longer.

ObamaTax did not require a 2/3rds super majority like a treaty does.

And I NEVER said that ObamaCare could not pass. I was pretty much always concerned with the willingness of the liberal Democrats and perfidious RINOs to cram that shit down our throats. Further, I was always worried that the 4 libs and the 1 alleged swing vote in the SCOTUS would rubber stamp ObamaCrap. I ended up seeing the "result" for a very unexpected set of reasons. CJ Roberts was the fifth vote, not Kennedy. CJ Roberts has earned a black mark next to his name for the rest of time.

Nevertheless, I cannot believe that any super majority in the Senate would EVER approve a treaty directly in conflict with our Constitution's Second Amendment.

I'm hearing whispers of a 'lame duck' passage, similar to the 16th Amendment...

I never said you did, but people did say it, and then they said it would never be ruled Constitutional. I no longer trust the supreme court to protect the Constitution
The Executive branch has proven it can't be trusted, the legislative branch has proven it can't be trusted, and now the judiciary.

Adn calls into question why the government has any business knowing in the first place.

God let's hope not. The progressives did this crap 100 years ago under Wilson. Wilson was a criminal too.

A few years ago I would say Congress would never ratify a treaty like this but now, I have my I no longer trust them.

Do you still trust a government that allowed obamatax to stand, to also protect your rights to defend yourself?

A lame duck passage would STILL require 2/3rds super majority.

And that's still out of reach. For now.

If, however, the grasp of modern American liberalism gets any firmer, and they liberal Democratics ever achieve a significant majority in the Senate, and a few of the more feckless RINOs join forces with them, then at some point in the not too distant future, it could all change.

This is what concerns me about the uninspired campaigning so far of Mitt.

Mitt does needs to start hammering away and be relentless on the real issues...and refuse to be sidetracked by the media.

It needs to be made a crime for legislators to ratify treaties that take away US sovereignty and supersede US law. There's cooperation and then there's abject treason. This stuff is the latter.

What next? Quartering foreign troops?

has there ever actually been a treaty signed and ratified that took away US sovereignty or superseded US laws?

Hmmmm.... I'd have to think, but off the top of my head, none yet, but more than a few have been tried. The ICC for instance, Kyoto for another.
