Obama's failure to get a SOFA deal with Iraq has proven to be a huge disaster,

Why was it Obama's failure to get a SOFA deal with Iraq? Obama had no authority or influence to change minds of Iraq's parliamentarians or Ayatollah Sistani or Muqtada al Sadr or Maliki who all opposed granting US troops immunity from Iraq's courts.

Obama offered to extend the terms of the Bush SOFA but it was the Iraqis that wanted to get rid of immunity. No one warned Obama that failure to leave troops would create such a disaster that warranted stationing troops in Iraq without immunity.

Obama is a failure as he cut and run and chose to do nothing..

However you can bet Obama will once again show he is lair..

it's not like Obama was not warned by many people that failure to leave a stabilizing force in Iraq could lead to just the kind of mess that we have been dealing with for the last three months.

Do you recall the "mess" that got 4584 US Military troops killed in Iraq? Were you concerned 4584 times more with the kind of mess our troops had to deal with for seven years? Thankfully no US troops have been killed in combat during the last three months of mess. Your sudden desire to blame the current mess on Obama where his policy is to keep US troops out of harms way and to assist the Iraqis to do the fighting themselves poses this question - do you blame Bush for the ness in Iraq?
