Obama: Pass My Budget or Suffer More 'Pain'

You've been around here posting trash and lies for a long time now, boedicca. You wouldn't agree with Democrats if they told you the sky is blue and not red.

Your post is once again dismissed as incredulous.

Democrats do that pretty much every day. Take Obama's sequester debacle. He tried to convince us that giving the FAA more money than he requested in his budget meant they had to furlough air traffic controllers.

You defend that kind of behavior and then call those who object to it "idiots."

Idiot. This new talking point making all of this Obama's fault would be funny if congressional Republicans weren't so incompetent.

It is all Obama's fault. You'd have to be brain damaged not to understand that.

Even if Republicans were incompetent, how would that make Obama not responsible? Watching you attempt to commit logic and then call your opponent an idiot when the hideous results are splattered all over the forum is utterly hilarious.

And idiots like you are in denial.

We've never before had a president who actually tried to hurt citizens for political gain. Obama sure has changed DC!

Actually, we have. Obama is just the first one that got caught.
Was it Clinton that closed some National Parks trying to squeeze Congress?

Yep, he shut down the Washington Monument, among others. Democrats love inflicting pain on the American people. Everything they do inflicts pain. The sequester and the ACA are classic examples.

...and his accomplices is to inflict pain on the public enough for their outcry to promote lawmakers to cave to his demands for more taxes. Obama is the epitome of deception.

Park ranger: Supervisors pushed sequester cuts that visitors would see | Fox News

"It's obvious that they want the public to feel the pain in order to push this agenda that Washington wants," the ranger said. "A lot of these parks can absorb these cuts without the public's visit being affected."

Yellowstone delays blamed on budget cuts - CNN.com

The National Mall and the Statue of Liberty will be affected, according to John Garder, budget and appropriations legislative representative for the National Parks Conservation Association. The Mall stands to lose $1.6 million and the Statue of Liberty almost $780,000 between now and the end of the fiscal year in September.

Local government officials and business leaders in Cody, Wyoming, said Yellowstone will delay the opening of its north and west entrances by a week until April 26, and its east, south and northeast entrances by two weeks until mid-to-late May because of the impact of budget cuts on snow removal.

The delay will cost related businesses several million dollars, the local Chamber of Commerce said.

Jan Stoddard, marketing director for the West Yellowstone, Montana, Chamber of Commerce said the park and its visitors are the lifeblood of her community.

"Limiting access to the park even for a few weeks can have significant impacts on the bottom line of a small business reliant on those visitors," Stoddard said. "These visitors contribute tax dollars and support jobs."

So what are these cuts actually worth?

The Park Service operates on $2.2 billion annually, or a tiny fraction of the federal budget. But its sites pump $31 billion into local economies and visitation has been up despite a sluggish economy.

I'm not sure I would blame that one on Clinton. George Hertzog came up with the Washington Monument Syndrome in 1969...and was fired by Congress for it. At this point, we do have unaccountable bureaucracies which have run amok. Clinton has better political instincts than to keep middle class people from being able to take a vacation.

What does his budget do? Does it give us our edge in science? Increase nasa's budget? Build more roads and bridges? Does it help the people that need help instead of bailing out corporation's?

Seriously.

Well, here's the thing. First there has to be an actual budget passed in order to be able to see the funding and priorities. Obama has NEVER had a budget passed. It's just one continuing resolution pork fest after another.

This scenario is hardly new....

The Obama White House created the sequester plan, using history as it's view that the Republicans would back down, knowing that the media would blame them.....and folks like you would agree.
When the Republicans actually stood up to the windbag, he came up with cuts that would be both visible and painful: no kids in the White House, and long delays at the airports.

Nothing new here. When : when the pols can’t justify the spending, they warn the populace of dire events if they don’t pass the bill!

a. When the government threatened cuts to the budget of the National Parks Service, they trumpeted that they would have to close the most popular tourist attraction, the Washington Monument.

How do you get the folks to vote against a bill to cap state spending? “The campaign pressing for a Taxpayer Bill of Rights is attacking Public Safety Commissioner Anne Jordan for an e-mail in which she says the proposal would eliminate a $50,000 payment to families of law enforcement officers, firefighters and EMTs who die in the line of duty.” Dispatches | The Portland Press Herald / Maine Sunday Telegram

Did you really think a community organizer of the Alinsky stripe would have any new ideas???

obama is the thug with a knife to your kid's throat saying give me your wallet or the kid gets it.

We need to invest more in education? really? why? so that the teachers can buy more summer homes? and so much for "Investing In Education" when the end result has been students who cant find a job, and a trillion dollars in college loan debt. and yet they hand Franklin Rains 90 Million dollars in his bailout?

Funny how that "invest more in education" almost always translates to more money for the teachers, and more teachers to give that more money to.

I think it's getting worse the more we spend.

April 27, 2013, By Craig Bannister @ Obama: Pass My Budget or Suffer More 'Pain' | CNS News

In his weekly address, Pres. Obama threatened Americans with more sequester "pain" if they don't convince Congress to pass his budget.

First, Obama exploited the sequester's effect on children, the elderly, and airline travelers:

The audacity of this man is overwhelming! He has childish hissy fits when anybody questions his actions, and then threatens? And Americans tolerate this?

I have noticed that none essential agencies have not been touched by the sequester

We institute a version of the G.I.Bill for all students in the nation....

....public funds go where ever the family sends their child.

Any school they choose....with state regulations used to license schools.

Any!

That includes religious schools....which, currently, do a far better job than government schools.

Tell me about it. I live in the People's Republik of New Yorkistan.

The nerve of President Obama knows no bounds!

Impeach him!
