Obama On Pace To Borrow $6.2T...

Why? Because you say so? Just saying something is bad doesn't make it bad.

Except of course, that it's not the same.

In 2006, when Obama made that comment, the economy was growing and had been for several years. Unemployment was low and tax revenue was back to growing every year. THAT is not the time to raise the debt ceiling. THAT is when you pay down your debt and get rid of deficits.

If you honestly think nothing has changed since 2006, then you need your head examined.

your refusal to question moves by Obama and insistance to rationalize them will result in great disappointment for you.

At least I know what year it is :)

2012, 3 years into a failed presidency.

He wants another trillion dollars.

We can't afford that. There is only one outcome, an economy on a par with Zimbabwe.

Before Obama entered office, the GOP President and the GOP Congress put in place certain laws and obligations that now must be paid.
Hooey. The law can be changed. This excuse fails.
Next?

I know right, they act like they didn't have a filibuster proof house and senate and the white house for two whole years. More excuses from the left wing dingbats that they are.

I confused. So Bankrupting our Nation and destroying future generations is no longer "Irresponsible & Unpatriotic?" Ok. Why the sudden change of heart?

Bush was irresponsibly bankrupting our country in an unpatriotic way.

Obama is responsibly bankrupting our country in a patriotic way.

Does that help?

I'm in favor of repealing -all- entitlement spending.

Well there we go.

you're a good little communist/socialist, that's all that matters right? If it makes you feel good in your heart to steal from someone to take care of someone else that just does not matter, right, even though you stripped the one person of property...as long as it makes you feel good that is all that matters.

The entilre "We HAVE to spend $X" line of argument necessarily fails - every penny we spend, we spend because we CHOOSE to.

the first african american president thingy pulled at the heartstrings, and we all know that common sense flies out the window when the heartstrings are pulled on a liberal.

You don't understand it because you refuse to understand it.

Or maybe we dont understand it because we use common sense to decide whether things are good or bad, not heart strings. The liberal mind is a scary place.

Bush had two wars to fight, but i give you this much, the tarp he passed was bullshit. But obama has passed massive spending bills way beyond what bush did, and then acted like he did not say it was irresponsible and unpatriotic to do so. Bush was no conservative, we all know this, but Obama needs to be held accountable, and will be in November.

Ok. So let me get this straight. You hate Obama because he is choosing to honour the laws that the GOP President and GOP Congress put in to place?

Wow. I mean .... wow.

Wow. I mean .... wow.

"choosing to honour the laws?" Oh, well thank you for that King Obama.

President Barack Obama has been increasing the national debt during his presidency by an average of $4.24 billion per day ($4,240,506,004.34) putting him on a pace to increase the national debt by $6.2 trillion ($6,195,379,272,340.74) by the end of his term on Jan. 20, 2013, according to the debt figures published by the U.S. Treasury.

That $6.2 trillion is more debt than was accumulated by all U.S. presidents from George Washington through Bill Clinton combined.

In fact, the U.S. national debt did not eclipse the $6.195 trillion level—the amount Obama is on pace to increase it in one term—until August 19, 2002, during President George W. Bush’s second year of office.

The national debt was $10.6 trillion ($10,626,877,048,913.08) on Jan. 20, 2009, the day Obama was inaugurated. As of the close of business on Jan. 11, 2012, it was $15.2 trillion ($15,236,307,075,631.58.) In Obama’s first 1,087 days in office, the debt increased $4.6 trillion ($4,609,430,026,718.50)—or an increase of $4.24 billion ($4,240,506,004.34) per day.

At that daily rate, the debt would increase a total of $6.2 trillion ($6,195,379,272,340.74) over the entire 1,461 days of Obama’s four year term.

At the close of business Aug. 19, 2002, the total national debt was $6.195 trillion.

DRUDGE REPORT 2012®

I like how you had to leave out George "W" Bush in your debt statistic.
Untidy truth?

Gee, looks like MOST of that spending was just fine when BUSH was doing it.
But now it's a problem. Kinda late to the game, and blaming the wrong guy, aren't you?

Wow...

So our defence budget is 0 these days?

Wow...

So Obama didn't re pass the Bush era tax cuts?

Lie better or leave, please.

Aside form the fact that your response does nothing to negate the soundness of mine...
We're --still-- waiting for your next attempt to excuse The Obama for running up the debt ~4x more than GWB.

I can understand the Obama lovers blaming Bush for not paying for many of the things he put into place, Bush was very fiscally liberal.

If that's the case, they should be demanding Obama do one of two things in order to be fiscally responsible.

1.) Drastically cut spending elsewhere to be able to pay the Bush debts.
2.) Drastically raise taxes in order to pay for the Bush debts as well as Obama's spending.

But they do neither.
