Obama mocks GOP, jokes they want "border moat, alligators"

Well? Don't they?
Most Republicans would support it
I just want the government to enforce existing laws, something they refuse to do.

Republicans had both houses and the presidency and a conservative majority in the Supreme Court for SIX STRAIGHT YEARS. Hmmm, you would think that an issue that has the right wing in such a "tither" would have been "dealt with". Especially with John McCain. Guess not.

Its really difficult for me to fault Obama about 3 years of lax border security after the Bush Administration Ignored it for 8 years.

I love when this guy goes into his funnyman routine...People are being killed as they sleep and funnyman thinks it's all a joke.

Most Republicans would support it

You're probably right. Many Dems would also.

What was the point of his address?

Was he trying to to be post partisan? Was he trying to mend disagreements between racial factions? Was he trying to be the arbiter of good feelings and build bridges between the various components of this society?

Was he trying to drive a wedge into an already sensitive issue? Was he trying to divide the population? Was he trying to create yet another us/them pardigm to foster and grow hate?

If his policies were working, his perpetual campaign to get re-elected would not be needed. It also would not be so annoying.

That's incorrect.

His opposition are liars. And the truth needs to be constantly shown as a light through that darkness.
