PUEBLO, Colo. – President Obama, while villifying Mitt Romney for opposing the auto industry bailout, bragged about the success of his decision to provide government assistance and said he now wants to see every manufacturing industry come roaring back.

“I said, I believe in American workers, I believe in this American industry, and now the American auto industry has come roaring back,” he said. “Now I want to do the same thing with manufacturing jobs, not just in the auto industry, but in every industry.

That's pretty much the basic definition of Communism, isn't it, when the workers own the means of production? Barry obviously hasn't forgotten any of Frank Marshall Davis's lessons. But historically, when a worker owned industry competes in Capitalist societies against privately owned companies in the same industry, it usually becomes part of past history fairly quickly, usually the result of the company's paying too much attention to how much Viagra each worker gets in return for showing up and not enough attention to efficiently and effectively producing desired goods and services.
A Communist society would have kept Joe Soptic's steel company alive even if the steel it produced cost 3 million a ton.
Greece is a classic example of that. Greece pays its civil servants a bonus for showing up to work on time. Greek Civil service employees get 14 months pay for Christmas and retire at an average age of 53.
Meanwhile Germany just raised its retirement age to 68, so Germany will be able to pay for the excesses of countries like Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, and coming soon to the queue, France.
