Now here is an interesting question....why have the Navy Seals kidnap one terrorist, who had been living out in the open for fifteen years.....when they had the trap set for another far more important and elusive one???

1. "The United States announced yesterday that Libyan terror suspect Abu Anas al-Liby ...held and interrogated aboard a U.S. Navy ship since his capture in Tripoli on October 5th. He is being held as a suspect in the 1998 bombings of the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania which killed 224 civilians.

a. .... Al-Ragye has been free for 15 years since his alleged terrorist acts. If the U.S. was able to locate Osama Bin Laden in a remote complex in Pakistan, surely it would not have been impossible to capture al-Liby prior to two weeks ago.

b. .... he is old news. Anything he knows is not going to serve as helpful intelligence to the U.S...."

2. Now hold that applause.....here's some necessary background information:
You might recall the 9/11 attack on the consulate in Benghazi that cost four Americans their lives. Obama seems to have forgotten the attack, even though "Obama previously vowed to make it is a “priority” to bring the Benghazi suspects “to justice.”
WHY TOP BENGHAZI SUSPECT WASN?T APPREHENDED. Special Forces ?just hours? from mission until this happened? « Klein Online

3. And, speaking of Benghazi...reportedly seen there leading the attack, was Ahmed Abu Khattalah, a senior leader of the Ansar Al-Sharia
Ibid.

a. "Ahmed Abu Kattalah, a militia leader suspected of leading the attack on the US consulate in Benghazi last year. Kattalah had been living openly in Benghazi—where he called the army "too chicken" to arrest him—but has presumably made himself a little harder to find after learning that the US has the ability to conduct raids inside Libya." Libya Approved Raid: US Officials - 2nd raid to capture Benghazi suspect was called off

4. "U.S. special operations forces were ready, if ordered, to enter Benghazi and capture Ahmed Abu Khattalah, a leading figure in the Ansar Al-Sharia militia. But the mission never materialized.

[Obama called it off!]

But the inability to get Khattalah is leading to sensitive questions inside the administration about the tradeoff between getting al-Libi and going after the perpetrators of the politically charged Benghazi attack.”

5. So....the Seals were about to capture Kattalah....who had knowledge of the Benghazi attack....and, instead, were ordered to bring in "old news" al-liby......

6. Well....let's get the story from CNN:
"When U.S. commandos grabbed a former al Qaeda operative in Tripoli this month, American forces were just hours away from potentially launching a more dangerous covert raid to capture a militia figure facing charges in the deadly Benghazi terror attack, U.S. officials tell CNN. U.S. special operations forces were ready, if ordered, to enter Benghazi and capture Ahmed Abu Khattalah,....

The United States believes Ansar Al-Sharia was behind the September 2012 armed assault on the U.S. diplomatic mission that killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans...... it was this month that U.S. intelligence finally had enough information about his specific whereabouts that a raid seemed feasible to military planners, several U.S. officials tell CNN.
A top level White House meeting was scheduled to get the final signoff from Obama, around October 7, officials told CNN.

7. "We all know the administration has absolutely no interest in bringing the Benghazi terrorists to justice . Testimony from the terrorists responsible would be nothing but an embarrassment to an administration with so much to hide ."

Why???

Why is Obama hiding whatever we could learn from Kattallah?????

So....now that Obama cancelled the operation.....how easy will it be to capture Kattallah?

"According to the Times, the target, Abu Ahmed Khattala, “has appeared to live his life normally in eastern Libya and has been interviewed by several news outlets.” He clearly believed he was out of America’s reach. Now he knows that is not the case. He has been told not only that the United States can reach him inside Libya, but that we were actively planning to do just that. No doubt he is no longer out in the open “living his life normally,” but has gone into hiding — making his capture all the more unlikely."

So....wadda ya' think?
The Obama's didn't know Kattallah would now be nearly impossible to grab?

Why is this exactly what Obama wanted to happen?
What would this guy say that would be so dangerous to this honesty-challenged executive?

"In August, it was revealed that the United States had filed murder charges against Mr. Khattala, a prominent militia leader in Benghazi, in connection with the Benghazi attacks. Mr. Obama acknowledged the existence of the indictment, saying the administration was “intent on capturing those who carried out this attack, and we’re going to stay on it until we get them.”

The Pentagon has been preparing contingency plans for months in the event Mr. Obama orders a military operation. An unarmed American military surveillance drone has flown virtually every day over Benghazi gathering information. And the military’s top-secret Joint Special Operations Command has compiled “target packages” of detailed information about possible suspects, senior military and counterterrorism officials said."

But Obama doesn't want Kattallah captured......even though he claimed he was "intent on capturing" Kattallah....

Why did he cancel the operation????

Why?

If you help the United states under the Obama administration, you're on your own when he's through with you:mad:
Pakistan Still Won't Release Doctor Who Helped US Get bin Laden

Despite an apparent breakthrough in the case of Shakil Afridi, a Pakistani doctor who helped the United States track down and kill al-Qaida mastermind Osama bin Laden, a Pakistani tribunal decided Wednesday to continue holding him in prison without bail.

The doctor's chief counsel, Samiullah Afridi, said his client's continued detention without bail "amounted to a violation of basic human rights," The Frontier Post, of Peshawar, Pakistan, reported.

Or the operative question may be ... how easy will it be to kill Kattallah?
That would be more expedient for Obama.

I must admit I didn't think of that as Obama's next move: get rid of the witness.
