Obama, GM & Jeff Immelt all sent jobs overseas, why is this ignored?

Corporal punishment is alive and well in our schools.

I unlike many before, I refuse to play the redundamt "kids of today are stupid". Crap that every new generation must go through.

Grampa, you were considered stupid when u were young, so was I, well guess what, you learn your entire life because we are stupid about certain things.

Then why isnt it being done? Hes had nearly 4 years with hige UE numbers and has done what?

Right now, no controversial legislation can pass because the election is too close. In general, Obama's tax policies don't get passed because Congressional Republicans oppose them. Even if they agreed with your three points (as does Obama) there wouldn't necessarily be a bill that both sides agreed on. For example, I noted that Obama wants to broaden the tax base by taxing corporations like GM. In contrast Cain and Bachmann seem to want to raise taxes on poor people. It would take considerable work to reconcile these two versions of broadening the tax base.

So you "ESSENTIALLY" agree that Obama wasted 2 years on one topic....

No, I do not. Given my statements in this thread and our past interactions, it eludes me entirely how you could honestly come to that conclusion (unless again we return to the issue of psychic powers) about my position.

Obama essentially gave GM the money to build the new plant in China. He has as his jobs czar a man that has shipped far more jobs overseas than he has created here in the US. On top of that GE was busted for doing business with our fucking enemy (Iran) despite the embargo. And on top of that his company paid 0 fucking federal taxes.

Why....WHY....WHY, is this being swept under the rug?

Perhaps because Obama has so much shit on top of the rug there is no where left to put it?

This needs to be one of the campaign ads from Romney. Speaking of, when will I see them?

I sign a release allowing them to use corporal punishment every year on my lasy prodigy. he's my pride and best out of 4.

The Department of Homeland Security announced a series of reforms that reflect the Obama Administration's continuing commitment to attracting and retaining highly-skilled immigrants. The Administration's new initiatives will lead to increased work permits for foreign workers while 22 million Americans can't find a full-time job.

Fuck off troll

More than half of U.S. employers surveyed by the staffing firm Manpower Group last year said they were having trouble filling job openings because they couldn't find qualified workers. That’s a huge 38 percentage point jump from 2010, when only 14 percent said they were having trouble filling positions.

Romney Quote: "He (Obama) says we need more firemen, more policemen, more teachers. Did he not get the message of Wisconsin? The American people did. It's time for us to cut back on government and help the American people."

During an interview with CNN’s John King on Monday evening, Romney campaign surrogate Newt Gingrich defended Mitt Romney’s resistance to hiring “more firemen, more policemen, more teachers” and admitted that the former Massachusetts governor’s policy would lead to less teachers in the classroom:

Gingrich: 'Yes,' Romney's Policies Will Lead To 'Fewer Teachers'

Republicans cut education

Republicans cut education. Without an educated workforce, they have to get the workers somewhere.

Yea, so eat shit pigswine.

We spend more money every damn year on Education for the most part yet the populace gets dumber and dumber. Why is that idiot? Could it be the stupid fucking union rules and idiot teachers that cant be fired? Could it be a decline in the moral fabric of this country withy regard to our children? Could it be the dumbass lefts ideas that corporal punishment is a bad thing? Could it be that our kids are out of control and disrespectful?

COULD IT BE THAT YOU'RE JUST TOO BIG OF A FUCKING FOOL TO COMPREHEND ISSUES THAT ARE CLEARLY ABOVE YOUR EDUCATION LEVEL?

Bullshit.

When my oldest daughter was 15 she was arguing with my wife about wearing a coat to school on a very cold winter day. She eventually called my wife a stupid bitch (which I know agree with lol). I slapped her across the face, put her coat on her and sent her to school. 3 hours later I had DFS on my doorstep telling me that what I did was child abuse. A heated discussion about my daughter took place and ended with them telling me if I did it again I would be criminally charged with assault and child abuse. When she got home from school she gloated about it, all smiles, not a mark on her face.

So Toyota, BMW, Fait, Volkswagon, Honda, Nissan etc should not build auto plants in the USA to build the cars they sell to the American Market?

P.S. Ford has had a plant in Australia since the 1920s. Why didn't you include them in your list?

Aren't we taxpayers mighty proud to know that we GM shareholders are building a nice new plant in China?

Funny shit is.... Chris will come on and create a thread about GM opening up a new plant somewhere here in the US but he will leave out the fact that there is now a vacum creating that need because of the jobs shipped to China.

Hes such a tool

Really? How many U S manufactured cars are purchased by China?

I did a search...couldn't find any. Maybe you can do better to back up the "lost jobs" theory.

Report: GM to import Chinese cars; trickle in 2011 will turn to flood in 2014

The dreaded wait for Chinese-made cars to hit America's shores may end in two years.

General Motors is telling U.S. lawmakers that it plans to import cars from China starting in 2011, Automotive News reports citing a planning document circulating in Congress. GM would become the first major automaker to bring Chinese cars to the U.S. It would import 17,335 the first year, tripling that volume to 51,546 in 2014, according to the report, dated last Tuesday.

Most likely candidates would be small vehicles similar to the planned Chevy Spark, a minicar that's going to be made by GM in South Korea where it has its Daewoo subsidiary.

Gas Mileage of 2013 Vehicles by smart

The thing that gets me is those tiny cars only get 34 MPG. I would have thought more. Why buy one of those death traps if they don't save money?

Oo, oo Mr. Kotter???

ahem .... because GE is da DEMS big corp buddy and it's all milk and cookies when their guys(s) ship jobs outta the USofA.

Amiright?

Yeah, they're usually wiggling in ecstasy when the stock market is trending upward under a democrat. In a strange paradox, under a repub its all about the rich trampling on the backs of the workers, horrid labor conditions, and other assorted tales from the dark side.

O'Reilly Claims 'Corruption': GE Using CNBC, MSNBC to Promote Cap-and-Trade for Financial Gain4/23/09 By Jeff Poor

It has been something that there have been rumblings about, but no one has really put the x's and o's together entirely - that General Electric (NYSE:GE) is using its media arm, NBC Universal to promote President Barack Obama's so-called progressive agenda for its own financial gain.

Political drama at GE shareholders meeting

Thu Apr 23, 2009 By Paul Bond

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - The hostility between Fox News Channel and MSNBC reached a fever pitch Wednesday when a Fox producer infiltrated the General Electric shareholders meeting.

Just before GE re-elected board members, company brass were hit with questions from shareholders critical of an alleged leftward political slant at the MSNBC cable network, part of the industrial giant's media division, NBC Universal.

GE to build $100 million battery plant near Albany

5/12/09 By PAUL GLADER

To help construction, GE said it would tap a $15 million grant from New York state, and is seeking roughly $40 million from the federal economic-stimulus package. The efforts reflect a move by New York political leaders to develop a "Lithium Valley" for battery technology along the Erie Canal and by GE to gain from the Obama administration's push for renewable energy.

Federal stimulus money "helps make these technologies go forward more quickly," said GE's Chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt. He said the advanced-battery business will be part of GE's transportation unit and could generate $500 million per year in revenue by 2015.

General Electric pays off regulators with bailout money

Posted Aug 5th 2009 3:30PM by Zac Bissonnette

And the madness continues: When General Electric (NYSE: GE) settled SEC securities fraud charges yesterday by paying a fine of $50 million, it was chump change in the context of the volume of federal assistance the company has already received.

"GE bent the accounting rules beyond the breaking point," said Robert Khuzami, Director of the SEC's Division of Enforcement.

Is MSNBC a Front for Corporate Lobbying and P.R.?

[Stephen Spruiell]
8/26/09

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow has accused the town-hall protesters of being mindless puppets for "AstroTurf" groups, which is how she describes Dick Armey's FreedomWorks — she called the group "a front for corporate lobbying and P.R." If we applied Maddow's own standards to MSNBC and its parent company, GE, we would have every right to lob the same accusation at Maddow and her liberal colleagues for supporting cap and trade:
