If the "success" of your economy hinges on increasing debt limits AGAIN, you are not doing that well. Think about it. If you run a business, you have overhead, expenses (i.e. what you are spending) and you require increase in your debt limit, it means you are spending too much. If you use any portion of that debt over an above the current spending, you have now spent more.....it is an increase in spending. Social Security and veterans checks should be first priority, not subsidizing Big Bird.

The feds collect enough money every week to pay veterans and active duty personnel as well.

It is a matter of priorities, and sending non-essential federal employees home until Obama agrees to address entitlements and reduce spending would be what needs to be done.
