Obama: All this darned media is putting “pressure” on our democracy

Unadulterated bullshit.

Regulators, by definition, restrict the free flow of anything which they regulate.

Well, I suppose if you studied up on what they actually want to do like I felt obligated to do before I spoke on it, as opposed to just diverting to platitudes..........you might understand a little better than the idea is actually the antithesis of restriction. But hey, do you man. Do you.
Good God your incredibly naive!! Again, I understand that your a liberal first,.. but you can't actually believe everything the pinheads in Washington tell you??,..... nobody's that stupid,.... even you!.....

A: Barely any of my views are liberal so uh, you're speaking from a place of ignorance off the bat.
B: I didn't read what anyone in Washington told me, I read up on what the policy itself would look like. Try it out, see what you come up with in-terms of facts, lemme know.

Yeah,.... because we were ALL just sitting around talking just the other day about how much we wish the "free flow" of the Internet was regulated by a govt. Agency so it could be.........free-er!,..... get a grip loser!!

Umm, yes, many people were you stupid fuck. This is why people who don't know what the fuck they are talking about should sit down and shut up. Net neutrality prevents ISPs that ADVERTISE unlimited service from doing shit like this:

Comcast Now Restricts Bandwidth Data Transfer Levels Lorelle on WordPress

Time Warner plays the usage game with broadband | The Digital Home - CNET News

Internet services throttle user bandwidth - USATODAY.com

God you people are so afraid of government you're about to run blindly into the hands of corporations who's goal is to bleed you dry and make a profit off of you. Stop talking when you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

Wow!....An entire of regiment of strawmen in one post!!

If that's the case it's pathetic that none of you could even muster a gusty wind to blow them away.

Some of you need to stick to eating roadkill and bringing up your nephew-sons and niece-daughters.

I don't need to read the wording of the bill to know what the "intent" of it is. I know if you read the entire transcript of his commencement speech, on two other occasions he singles out "cable news"(fox news), and talk radio, and we know their aren't any liberal radio talk shows left to speak of. All you have to do is listen to what he saysand he tells you exactly what his intentions are. Like I said earlier, I'm almost positive you and your friends weren't just sitting around last week talking about the "resrictiveness", or the "lack of free flow" of the Internet. He tells us right were he's going,.... all we have to do is listen. If you are truly not a liberal, then I sincerally apologize as I realize that is a real insult. I implore you to just listen to his words.

This attitude is what breeds true ignorance.

How does any of this apply to talk radio, stupid fuck??

What breeds ignorance is the naïveté of those who believe that regulation = the free flow of anything.

All you're doing is letting me know by proxy that you don't have a clue about what the regulation would do. I mean, are you really going to have a conversation about something you pretend to know about but really don't, just so you can fit in your "forum arguin'" for the day?

I'm very well aware of what it'll do...I can see the results of regulations like this in cities that have tried rent control.

The real people seeking to control content are the regulators, not those they seek to regulate....But rubes like you will always fall for the mythical scare scenarios floated by the power hungry.

:clap2: keep going. Too good. Too good.

Rebuttal of what, exactly? You're calling me a rube, yet proving over and over that you have no grasp of what the regulations would entail, why they're proposed, or anything? And then when I giggle, read: rube calls me rube, you say I'm the one who needs to rebut something? lmao. Sorry man, you're a gem. ; )

All government regulation is restriction.

There is no need to regulate the free flow of information or of anything else for that matter.

Hmmm, that doesn't quite match your opinion of child pornography in the other thread.

I know enough to know that the "why" given by those seeking to seize control, under the rubric of "freedom", are usually lying out their asses.

But I'm not the one buying into the false Hegelian dichotomy here, you are.

 least you're honest that you're not well studied on things yet still speak on em.' How prophetic.

Remember when Dissent Was Patriotic? What happened to that?

Anyway, seems to me he has gotten a pass on virtually everything since day one save a few talkshow hosts and Fox News (which quite frankly, hasn't been all that tough on him)... this isn't good enough anymore?

I wonder how Obama would fare with the media up his ass 24/7 as they were with Bush?

I think he'd be hospitalized by now.
