Obama Administration usurps power over oath of allegiance for citizenship

”The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has "clarified" requirements for individuals becoming naturalized citizens by stripping out the requirement of defending the United States through military service.”

Once again, Obama has taken it upon himself to ignore the rule of law and to declare that he will no longer require immigrants seeking to become citizens of the United States to pledge that they will "bear arms on behalf of the United States" or "perform noncombatant service" in the Armed Forces as part of their naturalization process.


The current oath of allegiance for citizenship reads as follows:

"I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God."

Congress, and only Congress is vested with power to enact law. Additionally, Congress has exclusive power “To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization”, and that includes authoring the oath of allegiance for citizenship and any “clarifications” tied to that oath of allegiance.

The question is, will our spineless Republican Controlled Congress allow Obama to usurp its exclusive legislative powers and impose his will upon the United States of America in order to accommodate the tens of thousands of Muslim immigrants flooding into our country each year?

These mindless morons insist on ignoring that our Constitution still declares that All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives. Obama does not have authority to clarify that which is already clarified by statutory law. If such clarification is needed, it can only come from Congress and perhaps the Supreme Court.

Did these morons not learn in school what the assigned duties are of each branch of our government?
