Here's the problem, and I find it amusing that it's the Right Wing so upset about this incident.

This is part of the "Broken Windows" philosophy of policing that if you enforce the small laws, you get a handle on the serious ones. It's one that Guliani started, Bloomberg continued and DeBlasio hasn't changed, yet.

And it runs the risk that some petty crime arrest is going to escalate into something much worse.

As usual you're wrong. First. There's nothing surprising about conservatives being upset by this behavior. Second. Giuliani's "broken window" philosophy was perfectly sensible and in keeping with the spirit of natural and constitutional law. Bloomberg's stop-and-frisk is sheer paternalism and not the same thing at all.

Fuck off little boy, they guy said quite loudly that he couldn't breath 7 or 8 times if I'm remembering right and he took a breath between each utterance. You can't talk if you really can't breath. So play your little boy games with the name calling, you're entitled to your opinion. Only problem, mine is defensible and your's is well, shit.

Look...I understand that defending the indefensible is painful. Stop doing it, boy, and you'll feel better.

Or don't, boy, I can't be bothered to give a shit. Now fuck off, your betters are talking! (Note: everyone is your better.)

Why is it you little creeps can't admit the fact that the guy kept talking when he supposedly couldn't breath, speaking is absolute proof that the person is breathing and not being choked.

It was ruled a homicide

It is fascism, pure and simple.

The only difference, essentially, between the old communists and the fascists is that fascists are nationalists where communists are internationalists and fascists want to control capitalism through the use of government socialism programs and corporate cronyism.

When Mussolini left the communists party in Milan and started his own new party he called the Fascist Party, he did this because of the nationalism he felt was natural to every man, and his respect for corporate efficiency. He thought both could be used to improve the working mans life and the nation as a whole.

Now that the old Commies have become more accepting of real democratic processes over time, have become tolerant of corporations and developed tools to manipulate and control corporations, and internationalism has become a faded ideal replaced in the real world by nationalistic jingoism, the old commie elites, the Nomenklatura, have become effectively fascist.

This is also true of their neoMarxist allies in the west who have started morphing the concept of fascism into one of purely a social construct of conservative moralism, overt nationalism, and rule by corporation in order to obscure this adaptive process that essentially vindicates Hitler and Mussolini and transforms them into what they hated so much in the 1930s and 1940s.

That new definition of fascism is a lie, basically, as the fascists had no morality that they actually adhered to, used nationalism merely as a propaganda tool as they trampled over the distinct features of any national culture that got in their way, and they never let corporations control anything; THE FASCIST ALWAYS CONTROLED THE CORPORATIONS, and were totalitarians to the core.

so this police officer who did the choke hold should never work as a police officer again right?

You don't repeatedly say I can breath unless you are breathing, the guy may have had his breathing slightly impaired by the the guys sitting on him but that's what happens when you resist arrest. I saw the video and have no sympathy for him. He knew he had health issues and chose to resist anyway.

And I no longer will have sympathy for cops when they get shot by criminals because of how they harass innocent people

At this point...I react to the news of dead cops with the same detached indifference I do for dead gangbangers.

Thank you to all the folks on this thread who are supporting the cops. Many are the same ones I disagree with politically quite often.

Don't resist arrest. Its that simple. You CANT win. There will always be more cops, with tasers and weapons.

Even if you think you are completely innocent...DONT resist. Just let it play out in court. It sucks, I know. And you may have one helluva lawsuit if you are indeed innocent. Hell, the cops arresting you may even get fired or prosecuted.

All that aside...if they are trying to arrest you, DONT resist. You wont win. You cant win. Just comply and everyone goes home in one piece and let the lawyers fight it out.

My wife considers death preferable to jail. So do I, though for different reasons. (I am claustrophobic.)

How about I dump a couple hundred pounds on your back, then...see if you can still gasp out "I can't breathe" as you smother?

Man who filmed cop's fatal chokehold arrested - CNN.com

The NYPD murdered a man, violating the 8th Amendment of Cruel and Unusual Punishment, while also denying him due Process guaranteed by the 5th, 6th and 7th Amendments.

Furthermore, the REPORTER who exposed this crime, was targeted by the NYPD, this is violation of the Free Press, the 1st Amendment. And they also searched him unreasonably, with no probable cause, a violation of the 4th Amendment.

Then they charged him for illegally carrying a handgun --- a violation of the Second Amendment, the Constitution is his permit.

Then they charged him for possessing marijuana, a violation of the 9th Amendment --- the right to intoxicate yourself.

Without a doubt, these NYPD officers have forsaken their Oath to the Constitution; they who forsake the law praise the wicked, and those who keep the law resist them.

Get ready for a major event where both Libertarians and Progressives will unite (quite rare), the organizing is already in the works among us, will Neocons stand with us?
