So I get a little "IMPORTANT INFORMATION" banner when I log into Quickbooks this morning...
It launches a webpage... "Quickbooks will no longer support Quickbooks Desktop platforms. All platforms are switching to Quickbooks Cloud Subscription platforms.
And then proceeds to tell us they are doing it because they love us so much.
Yeah - SCREW YOU is nore like it.
Quickbooks Pro Desktop is about $300, and you had to pay Intuit $8.95/mo for auto depositing etc.
Even if you went out and bought new software every year, which I doubt hardly anyone does. Your annual cost was $407.40.
With the subscription it is now $677/yr. And you will pay that every year.
I bought Desktop 2023 around August or so. The last version was Desktop 2020 until they stopped supporting it.
So my cost for 3 years was about $818. It will not cost $2,031 for the same period of time.

And you have no choice.
