Non-hispanic whites are an endangered species

"Hispanics" can be black, white, brown or purple (theoretically). It is an ethno-linguistic grouping, not a racial one. A "Hispanic" is a person who hails from (or whose ancestry/culture/language is traced back to) a "Hispanic" country, meaning Spain or one of the many now-independent countries which made up it's defunct Empire.

Why all the so-called importance of knowing if they are a non-hispanic white or hispanic white then? What are THEY trying to prove?

Seems to me that every American who works for his daily bread is an endangered species.
