No Solution

Did just ONE republican have an answer when he told them he had info on trump and Russia but never mentioned it before the election? From my prospective repubs should be kissing his butt instead of bashing him

prospective?

why are you dodging the question?
It doesn't I didn't think you needed an answer Now answer mine ,,,if you care too...He and comey helped dump win along with the Russians Those republican congress men were just a useless hit squad and as usual when they get the dung flung back in their faces they take offense

Those republican congress men were just a useless hit squad

only useless, (if they were), because their peers on the opposite side of the aisle used their time to bash Trump, instead of doing their jobs.
You must not have had your hearing aide on They bashed the republican congress far more than trump One republican even said congress is more disliked than even herpes

the point is, ed, they were NOT doing their jobs at the Hearing.

(unless their job was politicking)
dems were trying to protect a guy who gave 26 years of his life in service to america without ONE black mark repubs could come up with He even invited them to check his record that would show NO partisanship

Some?? How about none? Republicans have made a mockery of our government following this moron down the primrose path

You're right the Republicans have made a mockery of our government.

The Democrats had their fun & games making a mockery, now it's the Republicans turn.

The American Two Party System: A political system whereby two teams of deranged monkeys take turns fucking things up and blaming the problems on each other, for further details see also: Kindergarten Classroom
The left is for a fifteen dollar an hour minimum wage.

what Representative House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy and House Judicial Committee Chairman Robert Goodlatte did in the the hearing Thursday looks flat-out irresponsible. The Republican lawmakers seemed to be playing games with classified and otherwise non-public information to make the FBI look as if it is refusing reasonable congressional requests. Their bigger goal appeared to be the disruption of the Mueller investigation — or at least, constructing a counter-narrative for (and with) Republican-aligned media. House Republicans stopped benefiting from the presumption that they were acting in good faith long ago (see the never-ending Benghazi investigation or the phony controversy of the Nunes memo). Instead, they’re simply using oversight to fan the flames of implausible and illogical conspiracy theories.

Unfortunately, there is no solution to the problem of panel chairs acting irresponsibly when they have the full support of their party. Normally, the constraint on over-the-top grandstanding is that the party collectively cares about its reputation and won’t support such behavior. If a chair is acting up, the leadership might ask her to tone it down, or even in extreme cases threaten to replace her. 1

That doesn’t work with today’s Republican majority, which has convinced itself there is no such thing as neutral media or other nonpartisan institutions and only cares about party-aligned media such as Fox News or the Rush Limbaugh show. 2 And that’s part of what makes the Republicans so dysfunctional. Their incentive is to please their strongest supporters, and so the normal constraints built into the system don’t operate to push against irresponsible actions.

Chafetz suggests the cure is at the ballot box.

and your opinion of the Left wandering off topic, continuously, during that hearing?

What does the problem at the border have to do with the texts under discussion?

or the other numerous Trump bashing comments?

How does calling Trump an illegitimate president, as at least one did, apply to the texts of an FBI agent during the campaign?
? in what way? we have an Electoral College which Proclaims our new Chief Magistrate of the Union.

Well, I think it was pretty much a foregone conclusion that Hillary would not be indicted for her emails, and that really got the very rightwing ticked off.
But the FBI did not use the Russia investigation to deny Trump the nomination, and Obama effectively prevented the FBI from doing much of anything about it during the election. So, I share their distrust of the FBI over the Hillary thing, but don't think they've really got much.

Some perceive the Trump/Russia investigation to be a double standard of sorts ... although Mueller has bipartisan support in the Senate.

Hillary whored access to the Sec of State's office for money for her foundation. That's wrong, and I'll never vote for her. LOL But if Trump accepted help from Putin ... to me that's on a different level of "wrong" and I'd say its treason. Some in the very right see a MSM conspiracy to neuter Trump with the Russia thing. That may be true. but if he cut a deal with Vlad, there ain't nobody but Trump to fault for that. And the Gop rightists want their power that comes with Trump.

Yep, incredibly poor judgement.

… I wonder how many times a day he kicks himself in the ass for doing it.

But still no answer about Comey and strzek{sp} giving the election to trump?

I think Comey's enough of a political fool and egotist that he never saw his actions having the effect they had. It makes fools of the right's contention that the FBI favored Hillary. The FBI favors cultivating favor from the powerful

In what way did those, political comments, affect any case under investigation, in any way?

But still no answer about Comey and strzek{sp} giving the election to trump?

giving?
You don't think Comey coming out about investigation into Hillary had no affect OR holding back trump and russia info by the guy bashed yesterday by Republicans also helped?? And btw this is no witch hunt That's BS

I think Comey was so sure Hillary had it in the bag, he could have listed a dozen lovers, of various nationalities, and been sure she would win

All this is moot. The leftists are doomed. They know they are done. Even a corrupt FBI couldn't keep them from losing. They have nothing to run on but increasing taxes, open borders, and men in women's bathrooms. The desperation of the leftist traitors is obvious. Until they can learn to compromise, and come up with a message and a candidate to deliver it, it's over. Look for a red landslide in about four months.

I think Obama held the FBI back or Russiagate. Despite all the birther shit, he still treated Trump like a "normal" candidate. Any other candidate would have started firing people if there was any connection between them and Russia. We won't know what the connection exactly was in the Trump campaign at least until Mueller makes something public, but in any event Trump himself was coordinating his sons' and campaign manager meeting with Russians.

I think Comey was sensitive to views by rw FBI agents (largely in NYC) who thought he gave Hill a pass. And he did. He came out with the November surprise because they were going to come out. Of course if he was more worried about FBI independence and less about his own "legacy," he's have told the rogue agents they could move to the Alaska office, have their resignations to him by 5pm, or be fired tomorrow with loss of benefits.

And while your congress of dotards worry about this where are the huge investigations into russia hacking our elections and hillary's e mails? Why protect trump rather than our country??
