Seriously folks, without the usual silly bantering, no one is really voting FOR Trump.....his "popularity" boils down to those who hate Hillary (a hatred mostly based on her predecessor's successes) and will show up to vote this November to cast a ballot AGAINST Clinton.

Will that hatred be enough to actually place a Trump in the oval office? Very, very doubtful...
Can anyone really picture a Donald Trump delivering a meaningful "state of the union" address?
How much can an electorate tolerate speeches that really boil down to..... "I will make this country so great that you'll get sick of being great..."?

The message is by now clear that many in the electorate are sick and tired of political rhetoric by virtually all career politicians...BUT, to elect a clownish, self-centered moron to be the leader of the world, is tantamount to hopping off the pan into the fire.

Thats hillary also.
It will come down to temperament, experience and knowledge of issues. That plus the women's and minority votes.

The joke's on all of us, america just isn't a true representative democracy, isn't a Christian nation if by that one means follows the teachings of Christ, and isn't a society with a capitalist ecnomic system. The denial is institutionally indoctrinated and we believe the system instead of our lying eyes.

What the heck are you talking about? Quite a few rubes voted for Trump.

They had SEVERAL choices. They didn't vote against Hillary. If they voted against anyone, they voted against Cruz and Rubio and Carson and Walker and all the others.

These dumb shits voted FOR Donald Trump: The Next Best Thing To Hillary.™

Again, I imagine my German Grandparents having the same conversation in 1933.

I think there a lot of reasons why Trump will probably lose... but here's a couple of reasons why he might win...

1) We are a country that mistakes Celebrity for Merit. We have actors who've played farmers testify in front of Congress instead of actual farmers. We can't tell you how the Electoral College works, but we can explain the Immunity Challenge on Survivor. We can name more Kardashians than Supreme Court justices.

2) Hillary is really an awful candidate. She was an awful candidate in 2008 whenshe lost to Obama, she's an awful candidate now when she's struggling against a whacky socialist from Vermont.

3) People really are angry things aren't getting done. Much like my German Grandparents, when Democracy can't get the job done, people lose faith in it.

4) He actually has a couple of valid points. Free trade has been a bad deal for American workers. Trump promises to bring those jobs back. Can he? Probably not. But at least he's the one taking the stand.

It will be a rather surprising day when right wingers realize that (were Trump to be elected...unlikely) good ol' Donald is actually to the "left' of Hillary.

It is so true. Amazing what a horrible person Trump is and still he was the best the GOP could come up with? Republicans knew a real Republican like Kasich, Rubio, Cruz, Jeb would not beat Hillary so they decided to play their Trump card. A guy who can't be pinned down because he's such a great bullshitter. But lets not forget Donald Trump is a scumbag. If you thought Bain Capital made Romney un electable, what does this make Trump?

At least eight times over the last 19 years, GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump’s properties have been subject to lawsuits for violating the Americans with Disabilities Act, court records show. Additionally, a federal inspection found ADA violations at one of his properties.

Only once did Trump come close to winning, in a suit that was dismissed at the request of both sides. Five of the cases were settled, while two ended in consent decrees requiring building modifications and one met its end in a Trump property bankruptcy.

When a disabled Purple Heart veteran filed a lawsuit in 2004 alleging that the Trump International Hotel and Tower in New York lacked proper handicapped-accessible emergency exits, guest rooms and restrooms, Trump dragged the case out for three years. He tried to get the lawsuit dismissed and counter-sued his own architects to try and shift liability to them, but a judge dismissed that attempt. Trump eventually settled and agreed to make changes to the hotel.

This is just one example of what a sleezeball Donald Trump is. And this is the kind of business man Republicans want running the country? Amazing.

There is nothing wrong with Hillary. You're a victim of 35 years of GOP brainwashing to make you forget how great Bill Clinton was as a president.

I don't want to hear .com bubbles and sub primes and all that shit. Republicans think Obama sucks when he has 70 straight months of job growth and Bush didn't suck when he was losing 700,000 jobs a month.

And Clinton had a surplus. GW Bush even talked about it right before he squandered it. Don't you remember? Of course you don't or you would not be voting against Hillary.

A stunning 69 percent of Americans in a Gallup poll released this weekrated him favorably

Presidential scholars, however, have generally ranked Clinton in the teens out of the 43 presidents

A 2011 Gallup poll asked Americans who the best president ever was, and Ronald Reagan and Clinton filled two of the top three slots -- ahead of consensus great presidents including George Washington, John F. Kennedy and both Roosevelts.

Yeah, it's just unthinkable for you regessives to have someone in government that is not of the approved political class. I guess the founders were just touched in the head for envisioning a citizen ran government instead of a elite political class.

I'll take Trump over the criminal elitist any day of the freaking week. We're going to take her deplorables comment and shove it right through her depends.

One of my brothers and at least one cousin are voting FOR Trump. They love the guy. Looooooove him.

My brother who loves Trump is the batshit black sheep of the family. So there's that.

Oh, yeah. My brother's son, my nephew, is also voting for Trump.

During a recent visit with my nephew, he was telling me and my father what a great man and under appreciated artist Adolf Hitler was.

I thought my dad was going to have a stroke.

Dad's an old school conservative Republican like me and he is just as pissed as I am at the psychopaths which the conservative movement has turned into.

He HATES Trump. But he hates Clinton more. So he is one of those Trump voters who is going to vote against Clinton, not for Trump.

It was my mother's dying wish I vote for Ted Cruz. So that's who I am writing in.

As an educated professional who got fucked up the ass by Clinton/GW/Obama, I am voting FOR Trump based on following him for 20 years.

Dozens of companies violate the ADA, the only way to do anything about it is to make a federal case of it, the States and cities have no power to enforce it unless they have parallel laws. Most violations are pretty minor and I usually just talk to the store managers, they're usually receptive to making the needed changes. It's amazing what civilized conversation can get accomplished, but too many have dollar signs in their eyes and think of court as the first resort instead of the last.
