Advertisements have ruined getting news on the internet....for the most part.....not even to mention ads disguised as news.

Why are there so many ads on news websites?

I sympathize with you however, the internet has always been about selling stuff, not providing you with useful information. If you do happen to come across any useful information, it was an accident. I'm old enough to remember when a one hour tv program only had 15 minutes of commercials and 45 minutes of programing. Now its 40 minutes of commercials and 20 minutes of programing. Disgusting, but it's the world we live in.

Yes, has been like that for some time. If you have a slow connection the page can hardly load. I gave up on them.

Lately I get a popup box telling me to turn off my ad blocker to view the site. That's my cue to leave.

I gave up on t.v. a long time ago...now the internet is getting just as bad as t.v. is.

I had adblock at one time...i got rid of it for some reason which I do not recall...i think i will try it again.
