For all of MSNBC’s efforts to promote public policy on education, the graphics department at that network might be proof there is a lot of work that needs to be done in this area.

During Alex Witt’s 7 a.m. program on Saturday on the channel, Alabama was labeled as Mississippi and Mississippi as Alabama.

MSNBC has had its problems in the past in this department — that is, whenever elections forced their attention to spots on the map. In 2009, during a segment anchored by then-MSNBC host Norah O’Donnell about Virginia’s gubernatorial race, West Virginia was labeled as “Virginia.”

In 2008, “The Rachel Maddow Show” was off by a state — labeling Illinois as Indiana in the run-up to the 2008 election.

At least they didn't put Egypt on the wrong continent as Fox did.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fevHSYHZ34w&feature=related]Fox News Map Mistake - YouTube[/ame]

None of it speaks well for education n the USA.............. And left & right or Fox & NBC have nothing to do with it.

It's a damned shame.........

Wasn't there some one who made a video where Americans could not find NY on a map?

Seen several similar mistakes on Fox.

It is a result of the younger generations poor education.
Like this mistake by Fox?

Fox News' Egypt Graphic Fail From 2009 (PICTURE)

BIG difference between an AMERICAN media outlet not knowing Alabama from Mississippi, and another American media outlet not knowing where Egypt is.

This just shows how out-of-touch with America the arrogant Obama news networks really are.

Hell, I would have a hard time getting the majority of the middle eastern countries right on a geography test. Why? Because I don't give a flying camel where the douchebag Islamo-terrorists call home!

Umm confusing Egypt and Iraq where a war is going on is pretty bad.

I hope those dropping bombs do a bit better than Fox.
