New York is locked down, Texas and Florida are open.....more chinese flu deaths in New York...go figure...

Yeah. A higher population will do that.
New York's population isn't higher than Florida's or Texas'.
Higher density population, definitely. How is the Trump Virus spread? Through close contact.
Must be through all those facediapers that don't work given the statistics.
Yeah, you have to wear the right ones. Those neck gaiters actually are worse than not wearing a mask at all.
Oh but the Gestapo states ensure the proper ridiculous mask is worn, and get the highest mortality rates for their demands.

Texas and Florida are larger than New York, and they are not locked down....New York, under Cuomo the Killer, has more chinese flu deaths...

but....masks? But........social distancing? But...destroying small businesses? In particular restaurants that rich people don't go to?

Thus far in Florida, approximately 20,000 people have died of COVID-19. In Texas, the number stands around 24,000, and in New York, about 35,000.

New York is the smallest of the three, with 19.54 million residents. Then comes Florida, with 21.67 million, before Texas, with 28.7 million residents.
-----
For months, American media consumers have been treated to news of Florida and Texas’s incoming death spirals. For months after, we were promised those death spirals were just around the bend. The funny thing with COVID, though, is unlike global warming doom science — always 3-12 years away and “too complex” to explain when it inevitably doesn’t happen — COVID doom predictions are checkable in just a few weeks. And COVID doom didn’t happen.

Along Florida’s Gulf Coast, the streets are packed on weekends. In Naples, Florida just one week ago, lights hung majestically from lamp posts, a live Nativity stood in the road, Santa let children sit on his lap, and live bands performed every few blocks. Indoors, the bars were busy, and just after midnight the last pub’s band wound down for the night.
----

Just now, blocks away on Capitol Hill’s Lincoln Park, children as young as two are wearing masks while they walk with their parents. Meanwhile across the river in northern Virginia, few if any parents make their young children do the same.

Virginia’s Democrat governor, however, is not in the national media’s cross-hairs for this local break with New York’s COVID culture. Nor is Maryland’s anti-Trump Republican governor. Nor was New Orleans’s mayor, whose French Quarter raged until dawn the October Friday she surprised bar owners with a sudden end to the lockdown.

Why? Because as with global warming science, COVID science has become a political weapon for the left. While their allies escape judgment no matter their sins, political opponents from President Donald Trump to Dr. Scott Atlas, and governors from Florida’s Ron DeSantis to Texas’s Gov. Greg Abbott to South Dakota’s Kristi Noem, are the targets of vicious media attacks on themselves, their states, and their families. Just Friday, a New York Times psychiatrist demanded that doctors who question masks efficacy lose their licenses.

What do you want from Mentally Ill Liberals?

Thank you admitting that Liberals are so stupid that they're wearing ineffective masks.

Oregon is 32nd out of 50 states in t
Most of the New York deaths occurred in the spring while facilities were ill equipped, and DHS was still hoarding N95 masks so that medical workers couldn't have them.

Next.
Hmmmm but 35,000 deaths is more than most countries' death tolls

So why is Oregon's death toll so low?
Oregon is 32nd out of 50 states in testing which puts them 48th in cases per million population. Remember when you laughed at the President when he said if you don't want any Covid cases then don't test?

Same for deaths, but in order to have a Covid death you have to have a Covid case even in libber math. Lack of testing allows you to manipulate stats however you would like.

Couple things... like here where I live, NY was hit early. Add to that, NYC has the highest population density in the United States with 27,000 people per square mile. Seven times the population density of Houston.
So there is that.
Also - you bet, NYC has some pretty shaky management early on. The New Yorker did a great explose on this way back in April showing how the city had done nothing to deal with crowded public housing and public transportation. As well as city officials were encouraging people to ignore the threat and go to theaters etc. as late as mid March.

I've got a lot of friends who live in New York, liberal and conservative alike, and not a single one of them approves of how either Cuomo or, more specifically to them, Di Blasio has handled this. Not one of them plans on voting for either should they choose to run again, based solely on this issue...
Oh hell no. In particular DeBlasio. The fat fuck was telling people to ignore the threat and keep going to crowded events as late as Mid March, And then had the audacity to criticize Trump for downplaying the virus.
Look up the expose done by the New Yorker. It is damning. Shows exactly what the city was doing to help overcrowded public housing and public transportation.... nothing.

If someone is dying of covid-like symptoms, they generally are tested.

Mmmmm maybe.....but again, Oregon doesn't do much testing at all hence their low test ranking and fewer cases.

And The New Yorker doesn't exactly have a reputation for being a standard bearer of conservative political thought...

Baloney....now that testing is readily available the US is testing 2 million plus a day and most have no symptoms. The overall US critical case rate is .04% and we have run a global leading 225 million tests. That's not less testing that's way more testing.

It is important to remember that most testing that occurs is done in medical facilities. Many of the tests are those who work in close proximity to patients. The more people are hospitalized in a state, the more hospital staff have to work around those who are hospitalized. The more one is potentially exposed the more frequent the testing.

Hmmmm not sure about that, testing is done at many places now including churches and gyms.....people are getting tested now because they can not just because they went to a hospital with symptoms, thats why the numbers have increased so much. And states with low testing numbers will....guess what...have lower cases and deaths.
